I was at this game with my father. I will never forget the train ride home on the LIRR. It was packed dead silence in disappointment. Glad to have this memory and fortunate to have witnessed this game despite the unfortunate result. Spoiler alert: it turned out pretty good for the Rangers as they broke the curse!

Best team in the league vs the Cinderella team. USA vs. Canada. Rangers trying to break the curse vs. Canucks trying to win their 1st ever cup! Messier! Bure! Leetch! Man...this was the ULTIMATE cup finals! Best finals ever! The only finals that comes close was 1987 Oilers vs. Flyers, but this one was even better! The Game 7 finish was INSANE! Heart attack city!
This series hurt me more than 2011 as a Canucks fan, but it was also such a great series. It was so close. Both teams gave it their all. There was a ton of obstruction in the games, but it was also really wide open. Probably the most entertaining finals I've witnessed. Once the Devils won the cup, we never saw wide open hockey like this for many years.
