      Hey Eric!! I want to play more games like this! It is weird! haha. He did have Nh5 to block my Queen at one point but missed it and gave me the win, higher elo opponents won't, so I have to try to see these things sooner. Thanks for being here, peace for now!

    To win against the Englund all white has to do is not blunder. The Englund is a terrible opening and no beginner should learn it as black, however many still do because they saw a RUclips short about some traps white can fall into. Just after the first move white has an advantage of nearly 0.8, which just goes to show how terrible the opening is for black. The best thing to learn is to not fall for any of the traps black can pull on the Queen side. And btw, the moves white played in this video are not the reason black was worse, the moves black played are. All moves played by black from Qb4+ and on were either inaccuracies or far from the best moves.

    The key to beating this gambit is waiting until your opponent blunders their queen?

    • @blunderghostchess
      @blunderghostchess 13 дней назад

      By playing these moves, you'll gain an advantage against anyone using this line in the Englund Gambit. Before my opponent blundered their queen, I already had a +4.77 advantage. This video will help you counter the trickiness of this opening and, hopefully, frustrate opponents who try to use it against you.

    If you know your game is a draw, do you take the draw or play on because your opponent might blunder or will you secure the win because you have a time advantage?

    • @ericpetersman1389
      @ericpetersman1389 19 дней назад

      Depends really. If opponent is really low on time and I think he will flag then of course ill refuse draw. On the other hand, if I'm really low on time and its an obvious draw....then...Ill take the draw. There's a few factors involved and will make the call on a game by game basis.
