I wonder why the front of the old 925 had the red H curves and not the B Curve like the rest of the MP36’s and I wonder why they didint keep that in the rebuild
are they only using the bombardier cars for the south county connector?
Unfortunately, all the gallery cars are retired. This means that the South County Connector will be using Bombardier cars until the BEMUs enter service.
I think Caltrain should use dual mode locomotives

If a few of the old EMD F40PH-2CAT continue to run alongside the newer MPI F40s and MP36s - they should give them an overhaul to extend their service a bit until the BEMUs are ready
The old F40s were supposed to be retired. Instead, the MP36PH-3Cs and MPI F40PH-2Cs should be staying.

I really miss the old school Bart Train they retired them in April 20 2024
The Franklin Ave Shuttle in NYC may end up like this line if it ever gets relocated underground with full-length platforms and connects to the Crosstown Line. That being eliminating the shuttle service and replacing it with a through-service.

Yes, I was in the Metrolink Bilevel for the portion to Menlo Park. After that, I boarded the bus bridge to Belmont. The remainder of the Caltrain trip is done by the Gallery cars, which I'm already in when I sent the reply comment.

The Bombardier→Alstom MOVIA Fleet of the Future's MITRAC IGBT-VVVF kind of sounds like a combo of the LA Metro Rail Breda A650 (batch 2, which uses General Electric GTO-VVVF) and the Bombardier MOVIA 456 of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai (which use MITRAC TC1110 series IGBT-VVVF). The modulation pattern if I remember correctly is asynchronous (540Hz)→synchronous 15 pulses→9 pulses→7 pulses (2 steps)→3 pulses→wide 3 pulses→1 pulse. To confirm this, I recommend you build an inductor-based microphone (known as the モハラジオ in Japan), which can pick up the sound of the inverter and record in very high-quality. You will need a 4-pole 3.5mm (TRRS) cable, a 4-pole 3.5mm mini-jack, an inductor coil of 100mH, a ceramic 1µF non-polarized capacitor, a carbon-film 6.8kΩ resistor, a circuit board and a little case that you can put the circuit in so that you can pick up the sound more clearly. And it's best to do soldering.

To be fair it is one of the worlds first automatic trains in the world and being this old it is going to have issues
At SFO they have to pull up all the way to the buffer, and the computer just has them pull up really slow.
The electric motors were switching from regen mode to propulsion.
