Twin Ports Baptist Church was started on September 27th, 1970 by Rick Scarberry out of Hillcrest Baptist Church of El Paso, TX. He Pastored until the summer of 1991, at which time Pastor J. Mark Wagenschutz took over leadership.

The Bible Institute was started in 1993 as a way to equip men for full time ministry. In addition, members can audit classes to increase their knowledge pertaining to sound doctrine.

The Christian School was started in 1977 as a way to train up children in the way of the Lord. Many children have graduated and moved on to either full time ministry or professional careers.
