Personal Vlog highlighting my trip to Istanbul, Turkiye. Enjoyed sight-seeing in SultenAhmet, the Grand Bazaar, the Bosphorus, Galata Tower, the Archeology Museum. Also appreciated the hospitality of the warm Turkish people, the delicious food, as well as the local strays.

Shahnameh: "Rustam eats animals raw after killing animals, hunt animals for fun, other heroes engage in eating me and even Simorgh orginaly wanted to feed Zaal her children." Arsia Rozegar: yeah definitely Ferdowsi was vegan. Me: understandable.
Not a bad lecture, but Rostam a possible pescatarian or vegatarian? Pretty much a 0 percent chance unless the wild asses he is frequently hunting and eating are made out of tofu.
No, I certainly wasn't trying to suggest that Rostam was a pescatarian. His passion for hunting is one of his more notable character traits. One of my favorite scenes is when Rostam casually kicks a boulder while grilling. I was merely humoring the idea of the possibility that maybe Ferdowsi was a vegetarian/pescatarian or at least had a high respect for animals and nature with how he portrays them in the Shahnameh.
I can definitely see that as a possibility.

Rostam is like Hercules
When was Rostam like Hercules? Have you ever really read Shahnameh and story of Hercules that you consider Rostam to be one with Hercules?

To really know Rostam, you must learn Persian and then read Ferdowsi's Shahnameh in Persian to get to know the real Rostam.

While I have done university lectures before, this particular talk was at Pars Place, an Iranian-American Community Center.
