i don’t feel like that “first week is for teachers” really applies past freshman year. by sophomore year we had some assignments the first week and junior year had as much as the rest of the year, if not more, during the first week. we spent the whole first month of freshman year doing ice breakers during a couple of classes though lmao

Eh this is how I felt at the start of the year with 3 APs. Maybe it’s cause APs are different now then they were back then or it’s just how my school is

I have AP English 3 and i can tell you in my school, the class is better than what English Honors is portrayed as in here lmao. In our class, we do only 2 essays I'd say like 2-3 times a week. It's usually Rhetorical Analysis essays and it's not as bad as some may think. You just need to be a quick thinker cause we get 40 mins for each so you have to be able to recognize forms of speech, different structures, the writer's thesis, etc.
