I am sure that to a less enhanced ear it may sound sloppy. But for those who knows hard it is to make all these fragments come together & make it into music. Its INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
I couldn’t agree more. I actually learned this bass line this morning, and the most difficult part about it isn’t learning the notes, those are relatively easy to figure out. In the first bar in which the bass comes in, Pino Palladino starts playing in the middle of the bar on beat 3, then alternates playing on the 1 in the following bars before the first chorus. There are other aspects to this bass line of his that make it brilliant (of course it does, it’s Pino!!). To your point, it’s little things like this, alone with the way that the bass and drums dance around one another, that make it sound sloppy to “a less enhanced ear” and “incredible” to those who make music.

This is just empty emotional pleading and wishful thinking. Listen closely to what he says! His answer to death, the greatest existential problem, is that we should just deny it and try and live more fully. Really? Let's just deny it? He's essentially calling you to live a life of self-delusion! "Just think happy thoughts and live more intensely" is what his answer is to the problem of death. He starts off trying to think deeply about one of life's greatest questions, and then ends it with an emotional call to lie to yourselves so that you can live more happily - what a joke. Let me just tell you, there are two things necessary for meaning and purpose in life. 1) is God and 2) is eternity. Without both of these, as neither by themselves will do, you can never have ultimate meaning and purpose in life. Without these 2, all you will have is subjective illusions that you invent so that you can feel like you're living a fulfilled life. It may be hard to accept for some, but it's the truth.

But lies essentially..happen. i'm not saying this in any way correlates with jason silvas video but i mean.. think of the definition of "Bliss".. the word itself is finding happiness in that to which is chaotic. You are kind of acting like a filter for positive or negative matter to enter your..what im going to call "living space". A lie would be to knowingly deny what is there and replace it with something of your choosing..in my opinion. But what if he found a way to ONLY soak in the positive energy.. the things his mind alone likes.. so WE can't relate on a personal level but we CAN grab from it what we enjoy? make sense? it might not because i am only speaking from my understanding. Just be and let be i guess is what this boils down too. I hope you enjoyed reading this. :) maybe my understanding could help you and others. :)
