Thank you so much Angjolie Mei for sharing this encouraging testimony and interview with Whee Jim. Life is fraught with trials and difficulties, we do not know what tomorrow will hold, and I am deeply strengthened by Whee Jim's endurance and faith in Christ in the face of his own adversity. Because we are all mortal, we all will face death at some point and we all don't know when. Only God knows for all life is in His hands. But, there is the ONE LIVING HOPE that we all have in life and death and that is in the person and work of JESUS CHRIST who came to this fallen world 2,000 years ago, fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life, which we all could not live as we are all sinners, as the bible says that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). God is good and God is just. Because God is both just and loving, he demands only perfection and holy righteousness in mankind/us. The bad news is, that none of us in our sinful state can attain God's demand for perfect holiness and righteousness and hence are fully deserving of His wrath and eternal damnation in hell. The good news is that God, in His great love for us, sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to come to earth to live the perfect life, which we could never live, and then went to die on the cross to pay for our sins which we could never pay for. Jesus atoned for our sin debt by sacrificing himself on that cross, delivering us from the penalty of sin which is death and eternal separation from God in hell. He then rose again 3 days later, alive forevermore, proving that God has accepted his death as payment for our sin debt. He offers you forgiveness of your sins, eternal life in heaven and a living relationship with God for all who will turn away from trusting in your own good works. Believe in what Jesus did for you. The bible says that God's plan of redemption and way of salvation is in Jesus Christ and him alone, just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. - Hebrews 9:27-28. I pray that you, my dear reader, repent and believe in Jesus Christ's sacrifice on behalf of you to atone for your sins. We cannot save ourselves, we cannot stand before a thrice holy God. Only God himself can save us, and He did by coming to earth and then dying on the cross for us. Believe and live! Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. - Isaiah 45:22 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16 Be blessed🙏

The first podcast I came across on your channel featured a gentleman who contracted motor neuron disease. Another that left a mark was the writer who discussed the death of her husband. Today’s podcast is probably the fifth one I’ve watched. I find all your content to be both educational and inspirational. I am particularly impressed by your hosting and language skills; you make this morbid topic sound so moving and meaningful. May God bless your hard and heartfelt work.

You really are stunningly beautiful, Angjolie. And you're smart - both in intelligence and as regards your clothing style. But it's annoying that the camera never goes down to your feet, because I dream of catching a glimpse of you in high heels.

Great interview and kudos to Dr Choo and his colleagues. I think a lot people do not know about these topics. I first know about palliative care when I was the caregiver for my brother who had pancreatic cancer. The doctor and nurse were very caring and did their best to alleviate the symptoms and pains. I concur with Dr Choo that most patients would want to be at home and it might be better to bring them home especially when there is nothing much the doctors in the hospital can do. However the palliative care team can only come I think at most once a week so when the patient complains of pain or have some symptoms, the only option is to send them back to the hospital again. My brother passed away in hospital on the day when I was supposed to bring him home after getting a specialist helper. My brother wanted to go home. He wanted to see his pet fishes but I wanted to have the helper first as my brother is single and lived with my mum. On the way to pick him up with my mum, the doctor called to say my brother had no pulse and asked whether he should try to resuscitate him. The first thing that came to my mind was to try to revive him and keep him alive for my mum to say goodbye. The doctor did not recommend it as he said the patient will be in a state of shock when he passed. My brother had passed when we arrived. The patient next to him said my brother told him he was going home and took his last breath. I’m not sure whether what he meant was he was going home to heaven. I have not come in terms with my decision of delaying bringing him home and not fulfilling his last wish but as what Dr Choo said, I probably should think that I have done whatever I can. It’s not easy to be a caregiver or in palliative care. You have to make decisions and stay positive amidst a sense of helplessness.

This was so lovely and encouraging...we are all on the brink every moment! After my son died at seven a friend said: "as long as we're alive we're in danger" thank you so much for your honesty and settled courage...I will remember you both when my time comes...
