Missing you...
Is she in Florida? Price? Thank you
I didn't see your asking price listed anywhere... fantastic work done on this boat!
Where are some of these pictures? Map points for the grotto and the mountains?
Hi! I think it is in Andringitra National Park. I recall it was the highest point in the southern half of Madagascar. The grotto is somewhere between there and Toliara, I think. I know it's not much to go on. Hope it helps!
@@presence-ing Thank you
Very nice. Thanks for the tutorial. Probably saved yourself future heartache because of that rot. Excellent call.
And... I'd bet that all the boats with a Sillette drive has rot like that... hundreds of 'em.
Wildly tempting! If this were in SF I don't know if I could resist... good luck with sale!!
Thank you for the wishes Alex! She's likely to close very soon...
Great, detailed presentation. What year is she? Checked out the tinyurl link but didn’t find it. Thanks
Oh! Thanks for the heads up on that. She's a 2001. "The Gemini, Perfected!" I updated the doc at tinyurl.com/wompler with the VIN number, and a link for how to decode it. Thanks PorkChop! 😉
She's a 2001. 105 direct from me. 117 through brokers. I'll only be at the boat for another day or two before heading back to Colorado....
Love the mods.. i hope the links still work
Hey Paul, the links are probably out of date.... but, she IS officially for sale. lmk if you're interested!
@@presence-ingyour mods are gold for the 105mc please upload the links to your page. It will be impossible to duplicate without your instructions.
Hey @@paulw2583 ! The full channel is at www.youtube.com/@presence-ing There's a ton of detail on what, and how, I did the various upgrades. Especially see the playlist at ruclips.net/p/PLkk-PlvNWwCCOMLzKEXh-8BkLLJxYZIpv&si=PCi9e9XTYyr10FbP Questions? emailforbrianj@gmail.com Thanks Paul! Brian
😃👍
Great information! Thank you!
Excellent tips there, many thanks.
Interesting. Did you think about putting down a stern anchor to prevent the boat floating forwards and re-grounding as the tide came in?
Hmmm, no I didn't think of that. It didn't move that way, but that's certainly a good idea! Especially if I wasn't hovering around. Or, if it was very mucky and I couldn't walk around her. Something to pull the boat back out is definitely a good idea. Thanks!
Having been a cat sailor for 20 plus years you know you can just let the engine run slowly in reverse when you have grounded her deliberately between tides. Much easier on the muscles than putting out a stern anchor
@@davidcopp4314 Yes, it's something I haven't tried as yet though. Plus you have to be actively there when the boat refloats and ready with the engines . Thanks for the tip!
That phone number for Dennis is incorrect. Was that a typo?
This video is from about 6 years ago. I'm guessing he has a new number (that I don't have) now. Sorry.
no new videos? still got it?
Yep, we still have our beloved Coddiwomple. Made the tough decision to finish a long list of major projects on our home (on Colorado's Western Slope) this year. Next spring I'm planning on doing some vessel upgrades, taking several months to wander up to Ketchikan, and finally wintering her on the hard there. We'll be back!
Good video. Did want to see how you created a floor.
Tied loops of hydronic piping to hog wire mesh, then covered with about a foot of dirt. It all came in through the door, so lots of wheelbarrows full!
Any speed difference going to the much lighter but lower power outboard
The 25 HP High Thrust version has about the same speed as the Westerbeke.
it looks amazing . What is the slope of the hubs? I'm guessing 11 degrees or 12 degrees
Hi Talip! Contact Growing Spaces in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for design details.

What a fun adventure, thanks for sharing it! That view of Mt Baker was amazing.
Brilliant 👏

Next time if you have time consider a visit to the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga which is based on organic farming and has a lot of sisterly support. The focus is yoga and preparing gourmet food - healthy.
We loved Salt Spring! I really felt that the women there were empowered and making things like the Centre for Yoga happen. You're on a societal frontier, and it feels great. Keep it up, yeah!
World class montage
Ghost pipes matched Leigh's blouse to a "t"
Did you make any tinctures out of the juniper berries? Any hooch?
What's in the Mason jars?
Tinctures!
Those plants will be soaked in alcohol for a few months to create tinctures.
Wooooow! 💕
Wanna sell that boat ?
Hi Hillrod! She's been hugely upgraded and moved across the country to the San Juan Islands. We'll be in northern British Columbia next year. It'd be a long way to our beloved Exhumas.
Thickness of acrylic and polycarbonate?
I used 1/4 inch for everything, both poly and acrylic. Normally all the windows are covered with the Pfifertex covers you can see in other videos. They're still in great condition, no crazing and clear.
@@presence-ing thanks. There are a few videos out that say a heat gun will remove scratches etc on polycarbonate. Im wondering if you ever tried that, if you have an old window, you or I could try that on?
Heating is an idea worth trying! Probably not for the main windshield, as it would likely end up wavy. But for the others, let us know what happens! And if it works on both polyc and acrylic.
@@presence-ing Do you have any old windows still?
Sorry, i do not. The video was from the East coast. I'm on the other side of the country now.
Looks like an overpriced bucket.
Did you ground for the bottom work, or for some other reason?
I did it simply as an exercise. I wanted to learn how it rests on the hulls (twisted a bit), any problems that might come up if I decided to ground it in other shallow water, or if I needed to for some eventual bottom work. A learning experience! :-)
@@presence-ing Thanks. Great training exercise.
Ok I have questions lol, Do you live aboard this cat, I'm thinking of buying one and sailing off into the wild blue yonder. Did you sail it to Guadeloupe, I was there a week ago and I need to go back for an extended exploration trip. Any thoughts on sea worthiness from say Florida all the way around to Panama.
Hi RC! We did live aboard for about four years. I went to Terre de Haute and Guadeloupe for reconnaissance, to evaluate sailing there. The Gemini is capable of the Caribbean and more. The adventure happens on multiple fronts simultaneously: your skills, your relationships, the vessel, the weather, the water, the countries. You'll learn about, and expand, yourself. You won't be escaping anything. It is a commitment to discover yourself.
@@presence-ing Thanks for the reply, I'm looking forward to a new chapter at 55.
Congratulations! Say hello to RC for me. 😉
nice job, dome looks great, what kind of connectors did you use? where did you get them?
Hi! The dome is from Growing Spaces in Pagosa Springs in Colorado. See their website for details and contact info.
Glad you decides to hold on to Coddiwomple after all the work you put into her. She really is a one of a kind Gem! We purchased a 2006 Mc (#925) in Feb. 2021 and keeping her in St. Pete, Florida. We are now enjoying our first winter as snow birds and enjoying this life immensely. Wishing you and your loved ones health and happiness 🙏🏼⛵️👍
Hey Scott, hi! Yes, if you time the seasons, shifting worlds and realities with the seasons is truly wonderful. The best times, yeah! We're looking forward to exploring up into the Desolations (at least) in BC this summer. Right now it's snow season where we live in CO, so that's perfect, too! There's so much of this world to love and be grateful for. 🙏 😊
Brian, how much time did you spend refitting your boat?
Hi Eric! I was always working on things incrementally over four years. The 'big refit' took about 5 months, at St. Marys, in GA. It's a real DIY yard. I rented a nearby kitchenette hotel room for the duration.
Been watching you guys for quite some time. Where does the Paonia, Co come from??? We are from Carbondale, Co with 105MC#875. Love what you are doing!
Wonderful to watch. 🌟⛵️🌎☀️ Forever best wishes to you all 🌟🙏🌟
I'm very glad you enjoyed it Bornfree. Best wishes to you too.
Wow nice job.
Thanks Walt!
That looks great! Nice work And that is one gorgeous view
Thank you Kevin!
I like that idea for stashing the video monitor.
Not polluting the water no happier words to hear when talking about by products (aka shit)
I agree 100%! Not polluting our water is the #1 reason to use a waterless head. After that comes no smell, no plumbing, simplicity, etc.
I think that is a C-head.com model with the extra $40 rubber tie downs.
Yes exactly: it is a C-Head. I used 3rd party tie downs.
Wonderful photos of the island's wild and human life - thank you.
You're welcome!
How much is your beautiful boat for sale. Kind regards to all
Hi Boo! She isn't currently for sale, but I can notify you when she is if you like. Email me at EmailforBrianJ@gmail.com. Thanks Boo! Brian
@@presence-ing Thank you 🙏 I will send a email. Kindest wishes
Great job! What are you going to do with the extra space? Maybe a generator if you don't already have one?
An Engle freezer fits in there perfectly! :-)
Not in performance, but a huge increase in reliability. For me, reliability equals performance.
If this boat is still afloat, let me know your Venmo - I'll support it.
Very impressed, great work.
Finally turning off that motor 🙌🙌🙌
When things are not going as planned it's best to toss off heavy items to save weight. I bet that looked hilarious. 😂 Glad it worked itself out uneventfully 👍
Nice work on the modifications! The time spent on labels is gold!
