GB's Adventures
США
Добавлен 25 мар 2020
GB's Adventures is the product of a life altering event. After ridding himself of the 'toys' he can no longer use, GB found himself resorting to a more stable land based environment. With a knack for creative arts he started documenting his adventures.
Skuddled my Flip-Kat on maiden voyage.
Many lessons learned... most importantly, remember to secure the hatch lids on the pontoons! You will see those little pontoon access hatches, they are there for a reason, duh. Also, don't run cabling through the very seal that will keep you afloat.... maybe I should stick to the tributaries until I can remember the obvious. Sure need that motor for next time.

My new ride! Flip-Kat by Noisy River.

I drove from Florida to North Carolina, grabbed my kid, and his truck, fought the weather and traffic. Finally made it to the ramp where we were greeted by the designers/owners and given a proper demo, after which I got my card out and brought mine home.

Have you had any issues with the adjustment wire moving and changing the mixture ratio over time?

That looks like FUN! Do they make them for two people?
Not at this time. noisyriveroutdoors.com/flip-kat-portable-kayak
How much? I want one!
noisyriveroutdoors.com/flip-kat-portable-kayak
What's the price of one of them
$5,500 without accessories. Of course I am ordering a motor. noisyriveroutdoors.com/flip-kat-portable-kayak
OK thanks
A small boat with motor and trailer is still cheaper.
That is debatable, but I can no longer launch a boat at a ramp. I don't want to park a boat in my yard, and I don't want to pay for a trailer and boat tag. I don't expect someone younger to understand.
Omg going from 20 straight funny videos to this one really f*cked me up. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
you'll get twice as many by using a cotton ball slathered in peanut butter. rodents are looking for nesting material as often as food. they pull on the cotton ball and you get the same results as a marshmallow.
Did it hurt the rat 😂😂
This actually sounds so tasty my mouth is watering. ✌🏽
I’ve got them coming under the hood of my Ram Truck, posting up on each battery & eating/pooping all over the top of them. To make matters worse I park underneath an Olive Tree which gives them a food source. This weekend I removed both batteries & threw away the factory insulation that surrounded each one, washed each battery with simple green & water, installed them & added sticky traps to the tops of each battery held down by zip ties. I’m not a fan of having to remove & purchase new sticky traps but I’m a bit lost on finding a solution to this problem. From the looks of your traps I’d say you’ve put a lot of thought into this so what are your thoughts about my plan? ✌🏽 By the way if I didn’t have to park underneath the olive trees I wouldn’t but I’ve got no choice because of the size of the truck.
No doubt sticky traps will slow them down, but doubt they will stay stuck. Let me know tho. Another option I am considering is a 50 50 mix of baking soda and jiffy cornmeal mix. Baiting may be a better option for you.
@ I will. Interestingly enough for the past two days since I threw out that insulation, cleaned the batteries & added the sticky traps I haven’t seen any olive pits, poop or signs of them. I also forgot to say that I sprayed the area surrounding my batteries as well as underneath the truck & pavement with Rodent Repellent Spray. Before doing what I did with cleaning the batteries & tossing the insulation I used this spray along with vacuuming around the same areas but it didn’t deter them any. I will let you know.
@@KnuckleDragginDad oh yeah, my dad did something similar but he ended up with a rat hair outline on the sticky trap, they'll chew through their own limbs to get free and the traps themselves are messy because the glue melts. Sounds like the repellant is working though, that's good 👍
Did you learn nothing move the marshmallow and put some cordage up there!
Noted
You need to make that hole more rat size.A cat most definitely can get in there!!!
In the 20+ years here I have yet to watch a cat walk the pipe. And all the cats are PHAT....
I cant tell.. how the trap works though... Does it snap them like a regular trap does? Or is there something impaling his head?? Or is he alive? Sorry for my naivety
Search conibear 110, you will understand
If a cat can get it's head in ,it can get in
Big if, cats won't walk pipe, too slippery. MY cat is too lazy to work that hard.
Rats are the worse. Dad told a story that when a rat, "a" rat made it into Montana, it made the local news.
I’m from Wyoming so I 100% believe you and completely understand. 😂😂😂
Cats can definitely fit in your tube trap. Sure hope none try. Good luck with your ratting, weve had more rodents this year than previously too.
There's no way my cat can fit in that. I guess mine is like Garfield. 🤣
@@gbsadventures3710general rule for most cats is if their head can fit, they can fit the rest of their body. There's funny videos of them squeezing under doors to check on their owners if you want a giggle. Esp if they're outside cats, they're gonna be leaner than some house cats so squeezing through places isn't gonna be as big of a problem as you'd think 🤷♀️ Edit: that Garfield comment did make me smile, is yours an orange too?
No, black with white boots. MY cat doesn't walk the pipe, doesn't chase squirrel, doesn't catch rats or mice. Just whines in the morning to let her out so she can watch the birds eat...
What kind of table do you have the smoker on??
A 4 foot folding table. I'm pretty sure I got it at Walmart.
Thank you! Now I don’t have to spend $20 on a stupid gadget to get my angle right 🤨
It’s good to see nothing bad happened! When I heard about this hurricane I was going to evacuate too! But I figure maybe Missouri is far enough away from danger😂
My two complaints, I did not get to use my backup power station, and my weather station failed to register the wind speed. New weather station is ordered.
@@gbsadventures3710 what kind of set I got for back up power?
@@andrewmontes7095 two anker c1000 with bp1000. 1100 watts portable solar panels.
I guess its not to bad
You gotta know when to hold them, and when to fold them... I would leave if under a mandatory evacuation
@@gbsadventures3710 yes sir

Pacific NW libtard here, still hoping all you SE conservatives (and every1 else) are safe and get help.
Good luck and stay safe.
This video should say "what not to do" hope you dont have any kids or elderly with you. If you only knew how you look to the world right now, you probably wouldn't be broadcasting your decision to stay. At least we will have this video to remember you by.
I would guess your not a floridian.
Leave silly!! This is plain dumb to wait!
I am not waiting, I plan to stay.

@@robinpresleywoodward absolutely, power on, baking bread, only some plant and fence damage.

Ty, but we can't evacuate the entire state. Those that can ride it out need to. As you said, all northern routes are at a snails pace.
