About 1991, my housemate and I were low on work and having girlfriend problems. We were bitter and day-drinking on a weekday. We stumbled onto “The Ghost and Mr.Chicken” on tv. The part where Knotts is lost in the haunted house. We laughed like hyenas on the gas for maybe an hour

I absolutely loved Don Knotts ! The ghost of Mr Chicken I loved growing up!!

I think it was the early 1980s that he was trying to do some kind of a show at the Union Plaza hotel in Las Vegas. I couldn’t figure out why anybody would want to see him. I saw him as a TV star and I couldn’t imagine what he had to bring to the stage for a show. I loved him in his movies and in his TV series as Barney Fife

Great actor but he would argue with an equally if not superior actor in John Wayne about political issues. Constanly that's part of what he will be remembered for by people of reason.
