Is there a KNIT crochetpattern ? Can knit most anything but cannot, master crochet? Would appreciate any help

Since I'm annoyed the instructions sometimes disappear, I wrote them down: Crochet - Gladiolus flower "(if it's in brackets, you use the same hole)" Outer petal (make 3) - ch10. From second stitch 2sc, 4hdc, 3sc. Sc twice on top in same ch. 3sc, 4hdc, 2sc. Sl st with 1st stitch Ch5, insert wire in current ch, 4sc from 2nd ch, we're going around the wire. Sc, hdc, (2dc), (2tc), (2dc), 2dc, hdc, sc. sc on top. sc, hdc, 2dc, (2dc), (2tc), (2dc), hdc, sc. 5sc, sl st with 1st stitch. ch1, 7sc. ch2, sc, repeat the pattern. 7sc in remaining stitches. sl on top and finish petal off. Inner petal and bud same pattern (make 3) - ch10. 9sc from 2nd ch. Sc twice on top in same ch. 9sc, sl st with 1st stitch. Ch5, Insert wire in current ch, 4sc from 2nd ch. 2sc, (2sc), (2hdc), (2sc), 4sc. sc on top. 4sc, (2sc), (2hdc), (2sc), 2sc. 5sc, sl st with 1st stitch. ch1, 7sc. ch2, sc, repeat the pattern. 7sc in remaining stitches. sl on top and finish petal off. Sepal and little bud same pattern - ch16. 7dc from 3rd ch. 5hdc. 2sc. sc, ch1, front loop sc. 2sc, 5hdc, 7dc. ch2, sl st. Cut off yarn. Leaf - ch33. 10tc from 4th ch. 10dc. 8hdc. 2sc. (2sc) at top 2sc. 8hdc. 10dc. 10tc. ch3, sl st middle of leaf. insert wire in current ch. ch1, sc in each stitch until the middle. sc, ch1, front loop sc. Sc in remaining stitches. Sl the end and finish off the leaf. Combining everything is easy to see but too long to put to text. Enjoy the video!

those arent double crochets. they look like you just looped the hook a bunch of times and then slipped them together. I know there's a name for the stitch used.. but Im positive its not the double crochet.. eitherway.. thank you for the pattern. its so much prettier than any others If found.
