Tweedy attacks Fan
Просмотров 131 тыс.17 лет назад
Jeff Tweedy at University of Illinois defending himself about the claims of him attacking a fan at a concert.
yo thats where i am rn lmao
Thumbs down for the ridiculous title. Jeff Tweedy tells story about a fan that came up on stage and wrongly gets labeled as attacking a fan. If it was in quotes, that'd be fine: Tweedy "Attacks" Fan.
I didn't see any attack.
Wilco's first 4 albums were excellent. After that? Dad rock, indeed. And geeze Tweedy sure loves to hear himself talk. Problem is he's not nearly as funny as he or his fanboys thinks he is. Farrar still miles better.
Ivan Lendl I think he's pretty amusing, not comedian-level funny but amusing. I think Son Volt's extremely uninspired at this point compared to Wilco, every Son Volt album sounds very similar, not saying Farrar can't write songs, but his direction hasn't changed for 25 years. Not to hate on the guy, I still like Son Volt, I just don't understand the animosity Farrar fans hold towards Tweedy.
I'll agree their first four albums were the peak of their career though.
Dad rock? Dad rock belongs with bands like Slade, not Wilco. They're constantly trying new things. Their newest albums are incredible too.
this dude is mediocre at best
I know this was 6 years ago, but my god I hope you've got better taste now.
Sober up, pal
TWEEDY'S THE MAN!
Keith Richards would have cracked a guitar over the guy's skull. Lucky Tweedy is a mellow dude!
But nobody would be searching for that phrase.
You should really change this title to "tweedy defends himself."
@iamnotchemistry No he just said the guy looked like devendra banhart, so aka your typical hipster with long hair, and he didn't really attack the kid by the sounds of it. He was provoked by the kid grabbing his face from behind, and so jeff being the kind man that he is graciously escorted him off the stage.
@joe44850 people hate geniuses
@stuco Vicodin makes you talk a lot. :-)
@flowerdoodle Really? It was similar to their older stuff. It wasn't bad at all.
@lmrdjm275 Yes....well, their best work, as far as I can tell, is Yankee Hotel Foxtrot--its a masterpiece to me. Some songs on Sky blue Sky are really good. The last one, w the camel on the cover, stunk
Im so gagged out by the way the crowd are laughing at his EVERY word, funny or not. Nothing worse than a sycophantic, over eager audience.
@druickd Yeah, the crowd really seems to be hating it.
Hey, maybe Jay was right.
@trailofd3ad Why do you feel entitled to take a picture? If the band feels that it will detract from their performance, that's their prerogative. If you don't like that Wilco doesn't want pictures taken of them, you have the right to not spend your 20 quid and stay home. It's their show. It doesn't make them arrogant or dicks if they want to create an environment that allows them the best chance to perform at their highest level. Leave your expectations at the door and enjoy the great music.
@trailofd3ad I dont think you ever stood on a stage with flashbulbs going off.Ever lost your vision by a camera flash going off in your face? Imagine trying to perform your best in that situation and If your paying 20 pounds for the show would you want the entertainment distracted by people needing that photo of validation? Think outside the box and sorry to tell you your take on the situation is selfish. I believe he his just trying to be a professional, trying to give his best...
@yoursaxman Jegg = Jeff... oops!
Yeah if somebody comes on stage while you are playing you never really know what they plan to do even if you are a nobody like me. It's a good way to catch a bass guitar to the face if you get too close. I'm sure "big names" are even more paranoid after what happened to Dime.
i don't want artists normal per-se but i do like it when they're relate-able.
I was there in Springfield, MO when it happened- stupid kid had a gleeful look on his face like he was X'd up or somethin' and he was happier than shit to be on stage with his heroes... He thought it'd be great to give Jegg a hug from behind while he was playing prolly thinkin'- I LOVE YOU MAN!!!! BIG mistake... Tweedy felt real bad about it afterward and it showed.
I keep hearing things about how Jeff Tweedy is arrogant, or an asshole, whatever, but man, I ain't seeing it. I think he seems like a normal dude with incredible talent.
I don't know much about this guy, yet, but I have to say, the ability to talk to a crowd as well as he does is a big plus when people are paying for a performance. I was entertained just listening to him speak, let a lone the music I have heard.
"Next day: Tweedy attacks fan!" LMFAO
Airline to heaven. Whoo? Please curb your woo-ing.
all these haters and dissenters are idiots
yeah your boring and not funny. I hate how all of his lame fans laugh at every word he says.
I saw Wilco a few years ago in London, they were so quiet, I got told to be quiet about 10 times by members of the audience for talking too loud. I was a bit squiffy at the time.
i got kicked out of "heathers" last summer....in london.....too loud.....sigh.
yes eyepatch, tweedy IS SOOOO cock!
jeff tweedy is a legend complete nutter like
Tweedy is cock.
