That looks so liberating. In Germany, riding that bike is normal. Here in the States; hell no. People are NUTS. So many bad drivers. I last rode a Kawasaki 750 back in 1977. Things were very different back then. With that said, this Hayabusa looks like an amazing ride.

Nice to see but the Kawasaki zx14R is actually more intense as it accelerates. Lovely bike the Busa, very tactile designed tank and fairing.

As a driver who was young as well... This guy would have to give away his licence for the time of 3 months. And then another 3 months. And then again... With 200 in a zone with a limit of 100... Congratulations! Even recognizing the respectful drivestyle. With a little bit of bad luck the rider would have to pass a psychological test to get the license back.

I had a gen 1 Busa and hit 192mph on the clocks. But i guess a bit less in real speed. I did have luggage though with around 22 bungees holding it down!!! lol

So he hit 150 mph.

Why sportbikes in germany are slow? Here in the US they are unrestricted and can do 200mph easily.

I wish we can have this kind of road etiquette here in the States. And I really wish our cops would enforce the passing lane law.

First the other road users are amazing and an example of how people should use lanes. Secondly this guy knows how to ride on public roads and have some fun sensibly on a very capable bike by minimising the risks not only to himself but to others and keeping safe distances ahead.

Well, I can tell you he wasn’t on the autobahn when he crashed. The fast lane is protected and you cannot go slow in the fast lane otherwise you get a huge ticket in Germany .You have to yield to faster traffic and move to the far right lanes. They’re actually police on top of the overpasses looking for vehicles that Do not pull over for faster vehicles. I got my first license in Germany when my dad was stationed in the military just outside of Frankfurt. I got a job detailing cars for the gray car market, which is popular back then. You could pick up a 911 Cabrio for about 8000 bucks practically new. My first ride on the Audubon in a green Koenig 911 we were going about 170 miles an hour when we had to yield to a faster vehicle and move over to the right lanes as he passed us like we were standing still. There is no speed limit. The roads are glass smooth and going fast in the far left lane is normal. You’re not gonna have trucks in that lane it’s forbidden and a huge fine. If you’re gonna go fast and do it safely the Autobahn is the only place you’re gonna be safe in reality. We were passed in the 911 by a GTI and to this day I still don’t believe it. We’ve had many discussions about this and it must’ve been some crazy German experiment or something they were testing. I have since gone over 200 miles an hour many times on my supercharged Busa. I go early in the morning almost no traffic early in the morning during the summer do some sprints have a little fun then go park it before traffic. I am broken from birth. I have a need to feed the adrenaline beast. I feed it by Jumping out of perfectly good airplanes sometimes just to keep me sane. I understand your friend, but I will say he picked the wrong roads to do it on. There are rules which I follow and if the conditions aren’t the way they’re supposed to be I follow them. I feel sad for him, though because life is too short and you can’t take back, what you have already done.

Katsumi, did you lower back and knees hurt from riding long distance on the Gen 3 busa? I ask because alot people say that the ergonomics, leaning forward on the busa, puts too much pressure on the lower back and can cause some pain aches. Did you experience that?

I wanted to down shift for you at least put it in 4 th gear Then bring it up to 5 and 6 gear ⚙️

Man this makes me miss the autobahn and driving in Germany period. I was stationed in Germany for 8 years and their driving style has stayed with me, to the point that I get pissed when I get stuck behind our left lane campers who damn near won’t move over for cops.

I'd like to see how fantastic the rider would be if a Kangaroo hopped out in front of him like they do in Australia that would test his reaction time!!! Try riding at high speed like I used to in Oz cruising at 200Ks all day long On winding roads with massive pot holes !!!

Well balanced ride, I guess he drives for a longer time on 2 wheels, no youngster ! Looks /feels so flawless and calm , how a Hayabusa accelerate = stay in 5 or 6th gear and ride along, with a couple of pulls now and then !! Also a mighty thing ( even stock ) - real nice 👏🤘🥰🙏🍀🌻🏁
