having lived in brighton before this project started and visiting recently I was AMAZED by the change! how, as a pedestrian and cyclist EVERYTHING got better, and when i was in a car, nothing got worse. Bravo

I don't know what's a bigger emergency, what you're all saying about climate change or traffic congestion where too many cars are on the road all at once and it's too overwhelming for cyclists and pedestrians Either way, we need to get rid of at LEAST HALF of all cars from off the road and start opening up SOME roads for Bike Lane accommodations A bike is no match for a car You may have a favorite route because the pavement is just better, and all too often, it's the MAIN drag Sometimes you may be out at the wrong time, but at other times, there can still be too many cars on the road for you to enjoy your favorite route, ESPECIALLY if it's a coasting route when you really don't need anyone in the way If you're one of those people who's actually invested in a real good high-end bike, you understand far more than someone with a cheaper bike might Think about it, all you're trying to do is get where you're going without everyone in the way, and let me tell you, it's ANGERING I'm actually surprised no one ever thought to start throwing tire puncturing stuff out in the middle of the road and take at least half of all cars off the road and put them in the SHOP If our cities aren't going to do it for us, then WE'RE going to HAVE to do SOMETHING to reroute traffic We got some One-Way streets converted into two-way, and still everyone wants to clog up the main drags, maybe we need to suggest charging a toll between certain hours, MAYBE $50 per pass down that road, per person per car The need to reduce downtown traffic Is tremendous Comma that's why we need to start charging a HEFTY TOLL between certain hours, PARTICULARLY rush hours It's not just downtown that's particularly bad.... The whole main drag where there's a LOT of businesses Is AWFUL Maybe we should try closing some businesses and spreading them out in order to help REDUCE traffic If there weren't so many businesses crammed so close together, we probably wouldn't have near as much traffic CLOGGING the ROAD If you ever wonder why accidents happen, too many cars on the road all at once Is only one cause Because everyone's trying to get to where they need to go or maybe some of them just need to get out of traffic You wonder why there are a whole lot of people out there with bikes who won't ride them much if at all, too much traffic and lack of bike lanes is also to blame Bike lines really need to be designed to keep cars out Bike Lanes should be able to still allow for emergency assistance, but also consider putting a roof on those bike lanes so cyclists can have a dry ride just like you would have when you're riding in a car because remember, not everyone can afford a car Bike Lanes should be fully enclosed with rain protection, and you can still enjoy that nice outdoor experience without getting soaked on your way home We need to do something about traffic congestion because not only are there too many people and too much development, but there's also too much traffic When everyone's on the road all at once then that spells disaster plus It's very angry when everyone's in everyone else's way and you have pedestrians and cyclists who just need to get out of the way It's not right that all of the space is just for cars, UNACCEPTABLE We need to have car free zones that are ENFORCEABLE

Honest video, coming from a gay man myself, I’ve been smoking since I was 14 years old. 38 years old started my journey a few days ago. I’ve quit for years at a time, but maybe a year or two. I can empathize. I always thought it was glamorous, now I just feel disgusting. And for the better actually society makes smokers feel disgusting at least here in the United States and especially in Southern California. Smoking in public is banned so I find myself in the back of parking lots and businesses like a leper. Hiding away as though I am ashamed as I am. I’m sick of crackheads hitting me up for cigarettes and smelling gross and feeling guilty. Congratulations, thank you for your story.

Don’t go there! If you need to park a car there is no parking anywhere, you will probably have to end up in the council run car park charging you over £33 for 4 hours, total rip off!!! And the place is a run down dump!!!!

Whatever you do, do not visit Brighton. There is absolutely no parking anywhere, all permit and only up to 3 hours on streets( and you’ll do well to even find that!) which is completely useless if you intend to stay over night! And the council run car parks will charge you £33 for four hours!!!! Total rip off, run by the Green Party apparently, more fools you residents, and everyone who lives there who I spoke to aren’t exactly chuffed to bits with this. But they voted these idiots in so tough! JUST AVOID BRIGHTON!!

I've been late to try one as I didn't realise they had assisted electric which I need for long distance and hills, chronic fatigue batters me so has anyone done any of Brighton's hills on one of these Beryl bikes?

But unless they keep the path stone free it will not be accessible. They didn't maintain the old path so looking forward to seeing what happens with this one. If they will clear the stones and repair any damage promptly.

Dear Bella, With concern I contact you regarding fraud by council staff who have knowingly covered up acts of data fraud against myself and others which directly contravenes Brighton and hove city council's policy and legal obligations stated under the data protection act. I have minutes of a coucil meeting that stated there were many deeply regrettable data breaches by outreach staff. I also have evidence from my housing file to back up my allegations. So since September 2020 I have made your council officers aware in writing and by recording calls and the situation has been denied, minimised, gaslight and backlit to try to affect my mental health. In short as literally your own policies and the law have been shattered broken I am unfortunately left to make a private prosecution against you, your corporation and your council officers that have taken part and failed to rectify this incredibly serious set of data breaches and total failure of your corporate body , led by you. I hope you will contact me in person as I have faced retribution every time I have bought this up and it is getting worse and worse with the members of your staff treating me differently by failing to address issues that are ongoing and egregious I hope you do not mind that I send this email to the Local government's ombudsman, the ICO and the media in full and the Labour party HQ so this may not be swept under the rug as it has been for far too long. I have reported these data breaches against myself and others for 4 years in writing to many department heads and staff and your policy is very clear that it must be dealt with full stop.
