I use glosses, Demis and occasionally permanent toners for blonde tones. I wasn’t worried about damage with permanent just hollow color which absolutely happened here. I think permanent is fine if the hair is filled correctly and the person wants to keep the color longer. IMO Demi would have been my first choice and gloss over that. Or vise versa That’s for another video I suppose lol. Thank you for your suggestions

@@feelnglossy Thank you for the kind reply! I have a friend who is a stylist. He has some Oster high velocity clippers that he calls his lawn mower, lol. I wish I had known you sooner, he buys long hair to make extensions. You would have to cut your hair above the bands to sell your hair though. You look awesome!

@@randrews7198 oh those are legit weed whacking clippers lol. I make wigs but I’m just relearning to sew or I’d be making my own extensions for sure. I’m not sure he would have wanted that hair though. It was so over process under that brown color lol. Thank you for the cool banter

Try again with a pro hair dye and a very low developer 3% 4% should be enough because you want a darker color. ( And yes I'ts compromised I can see it in the video. ) My hairdresser really bleached my hair to the point that this happens with me when I tried a level 5 red. (I didn't filled my hair with a lighter, different color because I thought It might will change the final shade. But the desired color filled in just not the first time)

I’ve been using box die for 40 years. My hair has never been over processed from it. Box die stops working after 30 mins. She didn’t just use the box die contents either.

@@Alwaysinvisable well you got 10 years on me. I only have 30’ish years but it definitely can over process and doesn’t stop processing after 30. That’s just when the process time ends. I have over processed my hair many times to make such a bold claim lol. Also it depends on the needs of your hair as well. You can over process in under the allotted time if your hair takes color easily. Grey hair needs longer and won’t be affected as much going over time. I personally go by how I see things process more than the clock telling me. But my advice is poo just like my end results here 😂 Happy Halloween!

@@feelnglossy I thought it stopped working after the time on the instructions, at least that’s what it was in the olden days. Lol. I guess it’s 45 mins now before it stops working. , but this is what I found on the internet. Apparently it goes longer now. (We often get the question: how long do you have to let the hair dye sit before rinsing it out? The answer is, you always have to let the dye sit for at least 35 minutes from the moment you've finished applying all of the dye. After 45 minutes the dye loses it's effect so it's no use letting it sit any longer)
