I loved this anime. A year or so after watching it I found a live action series of Horimiya that apparently came out the same year as the anime.

As long as the tats are not visible, he's fine, but if someone has visible ones, they are literally thrown out of places.

kawai (the green haired girl) is definitely not a nicer soul, she's even worse than the black haired girl and i mean that, black haired girl has a condition (narcissistic personality) she didn't choose to be a shitty person, which obviously doesn't make her a better person cause everything she did was cruel but it's not curable you know, and kawai is a bully that wants to be seen as a "hero", remember the scene where they were kids in music class? well kawai knew shoko was waiting for her to sing so she could know when to start, kawai used that and started mouthing the words even tho they weren't even about to start singing, and then she was acting nice to make herself look good, and her saying "were all int he same boat" or smth to a deaf girl that blames everything on herself and hates herself is craaazy too. but she's different because she chooses to be that kind of a person no disorder, no nothing just her (btw if were going for symbolic black haired girl is supposed to be shokos and shoyas "voices" i guess? with the "its all your fault" and etc.. if thats wrong correct me - i got told shes supposed to be their voices ) if you pay attention to details you'll realize kawai is not any better they're two very different types of bullies but are still bullies after all (edit: even tho kawai might be more of an attention seeker than a bully)

The blonde was actually the worst. Atleast the others didnt pretend to be innocent. I hate people who play victim & turn it on others. They are more manipulative & do dirty things behind the scenes.

As much as I love the movie, it cuts out some inner thoughts the characters had from the manga. Its not a deal breaker imo as some of the cut diolague was fine as the viewers could still figure things out on their own, but some of the cut diolague was needed to explain certian context. Again, still a masterpiece of a film, but the manga had a bit more introspectiveness

wish they went more with the manga towards the end when shoko was dreaming of ishida, basically she meets him in the dream and he said, i was thinking that after i saw you one last time id die. sorry for causing you so much trouble, alot has happened but in the end everyone is the same as always. but you are going to live a normal life even without me, you will be just fine. Tuesday is almost over, (they met with eachother every tuesday) see ya nishimiya. then she runs to their meeting spot to see if he was there thinking he ended up dieing

As far as i understand it Horis father has a job where he has to be far away from home for weeks or even months. That's why he is rarely at home. I don't know what exactly he does though.

Love that slip and catch scene, in the novels there's a flashback to Yasuko explaining Ryuuji that she got a power to teleport three times, she used it two times though, but the third, she is givin to him. All this time he thought she was just rambling nonsense, but the fact he somehow made it in time to catch Taiga, he atributes to this.

he thought he was close with her, but miya kinda got to know the real her so no sadly nope, having a friend at school but not seing them in there personal life dosent mean you know them funny thing is no one knows they spent a year and half together every day before he told her and before she couvered up her little slip of i like you...which yes he cought that but the anime glosses over it the manga doesnt.

theres gona be a series 2 with lost of things missing they cut from season one i caint wait i hope we get to see there son. also miya was already in love with her before he helped her brother at the start he just never thought she would intrested

I really believe that the world would be a better place if they made this movie a mandatory watch in middle-school.

The chorus scene is actually the beginning of the bullying. Kawai started mouthing the song before it started to make Nashimia start singing early. She's one of the worst kinds of bullies because she slips through the cracks and appears as a friend.

Japanese students in public schools have to take care of cleaning and maintenance in the facilities. Their educational system thinks it builds character and teaches them proper habits, I guess.

Toradora! is great. I think I watched it, like, 10 times. One of my favourite series.

The main theme of this movie is the two biggest earthquakes which happened in Japan before.

This is hecking old, so it might be pointless now lol. But the thing Miyamora had under the desk was a tack. His piercings are all his form of self harm, that's why he did them all himself. When hori came over he was starting to stab himself with the tack he dropped. It's his way of self harming.
