Deep Purple is my all time fav. I love what every member contributed to the band, but Blackmore and Gillan closely followed by Paice were my favorites. It's a damn shame Gillan left in the 70's. His talent was best and most complemented with that group. Wish they finished out the 70's and gave us another 3 or 4 albums of that raw, balls to the wall hard rock. Blackmore proved himself to be a force without them through Rainbow. Gillan, not so much.
