As a greek civilian I must tell you: He is lying about EVERYTHING. He's father was a lying man as he is. He is responsible for the death of 57+ people in Tempi, trains crashed. His government hide the evidence of what the train carried that caused the explosion. State crime. He is such a ruthless lyer that one day before the train accident he was going to inaugurate the train safety system despite the fact that we had none. Members of his party went one month after the train state murdering on the trains to promote that now they're safe knowing that nothing was done. To this day nothing has been done. He tells that for everything that is not good in Greece there's an external factor responsible. For example inflation. The fact is that the prices in markets at other European countries are lower despite the universal inflation. Under his government he spied his political enemies phones and he tells that he didn't know. However he put member of his family at top ranks ofthe Greek intelligence agency that did it He's lying about not doing pushbacks. Reporters United expose his government in various ways. His government made legal to work 6 days out of 7. He says that that is a myth. However if you say no to the sixth day to your employer you're fired. Under his government coastguard drowned 600 refugees near Pelos. Another state crime. That's half of what was done during his days, I'm not going to start talking about the imense police brutality that protects their party because I'll stop talking tomorrow.

Populism and social media comments spot on. Whilst I'm not supportive of our current times - I am glad that there has been a consequence to decades of mainstreams feeding news according to their own agendas. Could this trigger a reform to report truth, not biaised views? Food for thought...

Lisa if you or a minion come by this comment you need to address the pay levels in museums for curators . eg job going recently at the National Army Museum one year long in London paid 24K ,same as a n army private the position at the Museum is typically a post grad qualification with accreditation, similarly a job at an RN Museum paid like an Able Seaman, archaeology pays similarly.

So proud she is still here, defiantly inclusive and determined to speak for her constituents and the people of this country.

Rachel, you don’t have to accept things as they are. The whole point of getting into government is to change the way things are, surely ? The damage of Brexit for this country, both in the short term and the long term, is there for all to see, both within the UK and abroad. It’s incredibly frustrating that the elephant in the room is just not being seriously discussed and I find it impossible to comprehend why.

Good interview. I would agree with WS re. funding of prisons. Yes, they may be in a terrible state, but as WS pointed out re NHS, funding priority needs to focus on prevention - ie on childs early years, schooling, parenting & supporting services in hope of preventing crime. When resources are limited, put them right back at the start of life rather than when it's all gone wrong

Just saying, Venizelos funded and supported the Triple E(National Union of Hellas), and supported the Pogrom at Campbell in 1931. in 1933 it was planned for him an Plastiras to coup the government and install a Mussolini type Dictatorship, but Venizelos said it wasn't worth it. Venizelos' history is pretty dark after 1923 where he blamed the loss of the Anatolian Campaign to the Jews since the Jews didn't like him and always voted against him, which was one of the reasons why he funded the Triple E. Like, if people actually sit down and learn about Venizelos, the guy was ready to march into Athens in ww1 and kill all the royal family but Britain told him to chill. Dude is a menace...

It's profoundly irritating to hear no reference to the interference, lies, and electoral crimes committed did not inform the country about the reality they were voting against own interests. Freedom of movement was not in jeapordy when they voted. Leaving the single market was never on the ticket. That's what grips.

the big difference, Rory and Alastair, between Greece and the UK is that the Greeks have embraced their European identity and are comfortable in their skin about identifying as European while remaining as Greek as they could be. The British remain, as usual, as insular and parochial as ever, which is a great surprise and letdown considering their imperial past. Ultimately, it is a question of MENTALITIES...

The claim that the extremes of politics create grievance with no solutions is only partly true. Centrist politicians claim too be three grown ups in the room but Centrism is just a form of conservatism which is good for incremental chamber in the name of sensiblism. But there family in poverty because of the two child capo won't applaud the centrists sensibilsm. Nor will people who see utility companies make records profits whilst service crumbles. Centrism claims the mantle of sensible but that's true only sometimes

  • @Blahblahblahworlds

She's been allowed to get away with so much unchallenged because she's basically being fanboyed by the presenters. Nasty independents?? Whatever side your on, you cannot her slowed to say that without challenge especially when the "Nasty independents" aren't there to reply. Horse shoe theory of political spectrum? It's rubbish and has been rubbished. But since everyone in that room is a centrist, none of them are going to take Nandy to task over the appalling dirty tricks played by her faction in 17 which are well documented including in the Forde report.
