i don’t own either but i do have an AT Max which is very similar to the Pro . i heard the Vortex is a great machine though and definitely has more features than the AT Pro . thanks

1914 is as far back as mine goes but their are older maps out there if you research . the topo maps on east coast go back to the 1850’s and 60’s in some areas haha

It's a great feeling finding a .Silver Dollar. If you haven't already, here's to you finding your first Gold Coin. That's a feeling you won't forget. It's almost a year now since I found my First Gold Coin. 1882 5 Dollar Gold Coin. Been detecting for 17 years now. Congrats on the 3 Silver Dollars.

You'll find one. I never thought I would. The Silver Dollars I felt I had a pretty good chance to find. I've found a total of 12. 9 Silver Morgan Dollars 3 Peace Dollars. When I found my Gold Coin it took me 20 minutes to finally realize what I found. My Brain kept telling me Shotgun Shell, Bottle Cap, or Gold Foil.

you just wont be able to hear what ever you have notched out . in zero you can hear all the metals . the key is to swing in a spot where their is no signals coming through the machine and that helps the ground balance
