Exquisite playing that moves one to tears. Thank you

I grew up an audiophile, always hearing imperfections in my sound systems and from different recordings. Now, at last (!) my 66 year old ears are perfectly matched to the compressed sound files. Everything sounds wonderful! Especially these marvellous recordings of the Late Great Sviatoslav playing some of the greatest piano sonatas ever composed. Thank you!

Wow. I don't easily say that. But here it's just warranted. Wow. I can dream these sonatas, and heard them played by so many amazing pianists. And yet Richter sheds new light - as he usually does. Honest to the core - delving deep - no mannerisms - a true Musician with capital M. There's countless examples, take the Largo e Mesto: a total absence of false drama, which only allows the underlying tension of this amazing largo to shine more. Wow.

Everytime when I listen to his playing of preludes No 4 my eyes get teary and my soul trembles like a small flower in the wind... I love Sviatoslav Richeter, the greatest pianist ever.
