Love the podcast! I'm not married. But I used to be. I'm not in a small group of people who have lost their marriage because of what I went through as a child. Because I was sexually abused by three different men before I was 10 years old, it destroyed my life. Even though I got saved, the devil was after me and so was God. But hallelujah! God pulled me out! The number one thing I do in my life is teach/help men and women how to overcome the effects of childhood abuse in their lives. Once you're healed, getting married is a great thing that God could do in a healthy and strong way!

To preserve the freedoms you discuss and protect children, as we are called to do by the Word, we should be allowed to collect signatures for petitions that protect children - such as requiring parental notification if children exhibit “gender confusion” at school and keeping boys out of girls sports. What is the objection here? Why doesn’t Brave allow these activities aligned with the Word and for the protection of children?

Thank you for that word! We were in your church last weekend and heard your message which you said "might be the most boring message" with all those hard to pronounce names... my wife and I were blessed by your "Boring" message! 🤭 God answered a prayer we have been praying for confirmation on where we should move to so that we could go to a more conservative location. We currently live in Washington state. After you spoke about why those at church were in Denver, we understood that God wanted us right where we are! We have work to do in our community and in our church in support of our pastor and his ministry. At least until God says different. Thank you for your faithfulness and I might add, one of the best sermons I have heard on what could have been one of the most boring reads! Grateful to be blessed here in Washington!

You work so hard for all of us! Even how hard I think you work probably doesn't even represent the tip of the iceberg. It hits me every weekend and every first Tuesday when I see all that it takes for everything to come together, And all the intentional prayer you've put into every message to glorify God... What a great team we have at Brave. Thank you! For being a servant to your community (as your sweatshirt says ). Thank you for championing Mom's, we all have a different story and sometimes a difficult one. But yes, God sees it all and knows our hearts. We don't need feedback from our kids. That has been a hard lesson for my flesh. Praying for my pastor, my worship team, and the entire stand, firm. God's love and blessings to you all

Growing up Church of Christ (and subsequently leaving as a young adult) this is the most difficult thing I wrestle with. Of course my parents are convinced that I am saved only because I was baptized in their church years ago. So many things to continue reading in order to tear down the weekly programming in that group. It's so troubling sometimes I wonder if CoC believers are even saved. John the Baptist told us that Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit. John 3:16 is clear without any mention of water baptism but the verbiage in sooo many passages continue to prop up the CoC narrative. IMO the story in Acts 10:47 and beyond is proof to me that we are baptized with the Holy Spirit first - and that saves us. Then we can follow the command to be immersed in water. Even though I can go back to this account over and over, years of messaging from CoC on baptism still pops up to the surface from time to time. Thanks for the brief message Jeff.
