Wow that's the longest introduction😮 Romans 1 verse 16 it says the gospel. But there's many Gospels it should say the gospel of Christ. Paul warns us about any other gospel. You gave a very good explanation of why the health and wealth gospel is athe appropriation of god's promises specifically to israel.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It has been the same formula from the beginning - Grace, Faith, and obedience, in that order. If you are truly saved, you are Israel; if you are not Israel, you are not saved. We are one new man, neither Jew nor Gentile. The Roman-based “church” is built on the traditions of men. Rabbinic Judaism is also built on the traditions of men (Babylonian influence). In Mark 7:1-9, Yeshua Messiah warned against this violation of Deuteronomy 4:2 and 12:32, yet both Judaism and Christianity are based on a mixture of Bible Truth and the traditions of men. This is known as syncretism and is forbidden by God! The Bible describes one, true faith known as The Way of Yehovah. It is based on grace (from YHVH), through faith (in Yeshua as Messiah), enabling obedience to His commandments (by the power of the Spirit). Most theologians and seminarians are not taught Shaul’s (aka Paul’s) writings properly because they are not in the context of the foundations of the faith, which is Torah, Prophets, and Writings (Tanakh aka referred to in error as the “old testament”). Most Christians don’t even know how the Bible defines sin. 1 John 3:4 tells us that sin is Torahlessness (lawlessness). They don’t know this because of the errant belief that Messiah’s atonement on the cross did away with the Law (Torah). Yet we are told, He became sin on the cross. The Law (better translated as Instruction) leads us to our need for the Savior, and remains the standard for living (as established by Messiah by His Torah-obedient life, and He is our example how to live. We don’t keep His commandments TO BE saved but BECAUSE we are saved. A good child is an obedient one. Before attacking this message, pray the Lord reveals His Truth to you. What is Truth? Most Christians don’t know but The Word tells us, Torah (His Instruction) is Truth. Psalm 119:142. The opposite of this, sin is Torahlessness. 1 John 3:4. Pray, study, and come out of her (false teachings of Judaism and Christianity based on the traditions of men), and return to The Word.

@@fredthe47th Faithfulness to the meaning of a Greek word frequently requires language that is more gender-inclusive in English. The main fuss seems to be over the Greek word ἀδελφοί, which the LSB translates as "brothers" and the NAS20 translates as "brothers and sisters" (with the last two words in italics to signal that they're translating one Greek word with three English words for the sake of clarity). Here's the thing: ἀδελφοί is not completely equivalent to "brothers." It can mean "brothers," but we mustn't take its grammatical gender as a limit on its meaning. Context dictates whether it means "brothers" or "siblings" in any given passage. To use a hypothetical example, let's say that I have one brother and six sisters. In that example, I could rightly say that I have seven ἀδελφοί--no further words are needed. However, I could not say that I have seven brothers, as the word "brothers" cannot be gender-inclusive in the way that ἀδελφοί can be. "Brothers" in this case would be a mistranslation of ἀδελφοί. (And this quirk isn't unique to Greek. You'd run into the same problem bringing the Spanish word "hermanos" into English "as "brothers." Grammatical gender is not translatable into English because English typically doesn't assign grammatical gender to words.)

(Christians of the first century didn't have a problem acknowledging that women were in their congregations, so I don't see why you're so determined to pretend that they're not in the room.) And just to put things in perspective for anyone else who might be reading these comments, here is how the NASB 2020 translates 1 Timothy 3.1-2: *It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, skillful in teaching,* This is the translation that is being accused of caving in to feminists. Contrast it with the CEB, which is intentionally appealing to feminists: *This saying is reliable: if anyone has a goal to be a supervisor in the church, they want a good thing. So the church’s supervisor must be without fault. They should be faithful to their spouse, sober, modest, and honest. They should show hospitality and be skilled at teaching.*

Its not only those verses but how they balance with these that perplexes me. 2 Peter 3:9 Instead, he is patient for your sakes, not wanting anyone to perish, but all to come to repentance. 1Timothy 2:4-6 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, What mediation could be required in a Calvinist perspective? Deuteronomy 30:1919 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, How can choose be interpreted any other way than choose. You guys did an incredible job with the verses we are studying but it is how does it balance with the whole body of the Bible. The one question I have asked many of my Calvinist friends is," What is the application?" Your believe, I believe...shouldn't we be more about the business of believing and pursuing obedience than figuring why we believe ? I believe C.S. Lewis said " I suspect it is really a meaningless question."
Hey David. Thanks for watching and commenting. And I appreciate your thoughtful reply. You raise some great questions that have puzzled Christians for centuries. So, I probably won't be able to answer them fully in the reply box, but I'll try to give something to think about. In terms of the issue of mediation from a Calvinist perspective, it's important to note that while God desires all people to be saved and come to repentance, not all people will choose to do so. In Calvinism, salvation is not based on human free will, but rather God's sovereign choice. The mediation of Christ is still necessary because he is the only way for anyone, elect or non-elect, to be saved. Does that make sense? Regardless of theological perspective on soteriology, both still need the mediation of Jesus. Regarding the issue of choice in Deuteronomy 30:19, it's important to recognize that Calvinism does not deny human responsibility or choice, but rather emphasizes the sovereignty of God in the salvation of individuals. As I understand it, Calvinists believe that our choices are ultimately determined by God's providence, but that doesn't mean we are not responsible for our choices. I know that might sound like double-speak, but much more dialogue would need to be had to nuance it out. (I would comment the In Between podcast by Dr. Evan Posey and team. They do a really good job, and fair treatment, of this subject. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/in-between-podcast/id1632001958?i=1000597360658) In terms of the application of these beliefs, it's important to remember that theology is not simply an intellectual exercise, but has practical implications for how we live our lives. Understanding God's sovereignty can help us trust Him in difficult times and give us confidence in His plan for our lives. At the same time, we are called to pursue obedience and share the gospel with others, knowing that it is ultimately God who brings about salvation. As for C.S. Lewis's quote, while there is certainly some truth to the idea that we should focus on living out our faith rather than constantly debating theological issues, it's also important to have a solid understanding of what we believe and why. Theology informs our understanding of God and shapes how we live out our faith. Theology matters! It determines our actions. However, our actions must prove our faith. We grow in knowledge and grace! I encourage you to continue to wrestle with these issues and seek to understand what the Bible teaches about them. Ultimately, our goal should be to grow in our knowledge and love of God and to pursue obedience to Him in all areas of our lives. Hope this helps some.

If you still sin, You are under the law. Believers are dead to the law by the body of Christ. Paul was describing his struggle with trying to keep the law as a pharisee, not as a believer struggling with sin.
That is certainly a perspective held by some. Some also say that Paul is describing this struggle as belonging to Israel. But there is quite a bit of evidence that allow for an interpretation of Paul describing his current situation as a believer who still struggled with sin. It is also seems to be every honest Christian's experience. I haven't heard a Christian say, "I never struggle with sin anymore." That sounds like what we experience in the glorified state, not the earthly version of ourselves whilst in the process of sanctification.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil Do you believe this verse to be true?
I believe all of the Scriptures to be true. In Romans Paul talks about justification and reconciliation. One is to be declared righteous in a juridical sense. Once and for all. The other is a relational sense. When we sin, we disrupt the relationship, and in our confession and repentance Christ reconciles the relationship. Our justification was never in question if we sin. This is an interesting conversation. I’ve never met someone who claims to be sinless on this earth.
