Dan is the 5th person from North Dakota to complete a full marathon in all 50 states and the 2nd person from North Dakota to reach Titanium, the highest level of the Marathon Maniacs. He reached both milestones on the same marathon in Hawaii about a month before his 50th birthday.
He’s also a 6 Star finisher.

Lake Harriet with Sayla
The treasure today was spotting a Great Blue Heron lifting off for flight. Sayla was thinking the 3 mile hike around the lake was not a loop, so, at about 2 miles in, she kinda felt like we needed to turn back. Eventually, I convinced her to keep going to find the car. Haha. We saw a big frog in the dark and a nice portapotty for me.

Had a decent run today. Attempted running 5k after many months of pain. Barely hurt today. We’ll see how it continues. Bike Red River to Sheyenne River - Horace to Fargo

I had another beautiful bike ride between the Red River and the Sheyenne River from Fargo to Horace and back. I saw heavy farm equipment heading down the two lane highways and on the fields. I saw horses discussing the guy on wheels. I saw turkeys telling me to join the group. Went for a beautiful 30 mile bike ride towards Moorhead, MN, down to 112th Ave S, and back into Fargo, ND. Saw beautiful blue skies and corn stalks. The wind was fairly calm. Very enjoyable. Afterwards, I took Sayla for a walk and realized it was a bit warm (85°F-ish) with continued blue skies. I loved it, but Sayla was feeling the heat and took her time. After my 20 mile bike ride in Bloomington, I took Sayla for a nice walk near the Normandale Bandshell. Another day of no running.
