Sharing Cities: A conversation around Urban Coexistence
In a country like India, humans and wildlife have always shared spaces, finding ways to coexist. With a fast urbanising society, habitat loss due to climate change, and a disconnect between humans and natural landscapes, these interactions sometimes turn sour, leading to tension and losses for all.
“Sharing Cities: Coexistence in the Urbanscape” is an ongoing collaborative awareness and outreach campaign between Rainmatter and organisations working in the conservation and coexistence space. The aim is to be able to better understand the incredible biodiversity that surrounds us and is critical to an urban landscape, as well as to navigate coexistence with the many species we share it with...

You're right to say that organic isn't the dominant category in Europe when compared to conventional agriculture. While the organic market is growing steadily in Europe, it still represents a minority share of the overall agricultural sector. Bard

It’s a great video. It’s not fair to expect the government to invest in every business model and generate employment. I love this gentleman Mr Shashikumar. It’s his formal education and exposure to working in Wipro, that enables him to look at the various challenges and turn them into opportunities. With new technology and focus on supply chain is the only way forward in India. This gentleman was emphasizing on Quality and End user engagement rather than price. India is not a poor country; we should know how to market. It’s the humility of this gentleman that engaged me to watch entire show.

if producing in large scale at one place and transporting has the better economics than having small production at every different places according to their needs no one can stop the large scale production, if someone is trying to control the economics by funding as a aid or subsidy then it can't sustain for long we should just let the market forces play out.

It is really good that Zerodha provides plateform for investment with minimum charges. My submission is that when will be STP/SWP facilities introduced for Mutual fund investments through Coin? Today almost many platforms are providing this basic facility.

In today’s world where we constantly hear cool things like delegation of farm work to drones / machines, it’s really heart warming to hear someone work with farmers to get them out of distress. Kudos to your efforts and all the best for your journey. Note to urban younger generation who plan elaborate weddings and are willing to spend any amount to get the best food. Please consider resourcing and prebooking quality ingredients (vegetables/ dairy / fruits / flowers) by investing in farmers around your wedding venues.

Quick question: - When a farmer certifies their own milk, isn't there a chance of conflict of interest? i.e. no farmer would FAIL the certification test in a general system due to their vested interest in ensuring their milk gets through to the market? Or is there some other test that the milk goes through before it is put out to market despite the farmer certification?

Hi DeepSukhwani, after the farmer tests the milk at his farm in the presence of our officers, a 2nd level of tests takes place at the plant and only after they qualify these tests will the milk be packed.

Need to bet on Robust self-sustaining models like Akshayakalpa , like interconnected Ecosystem of livelihood with eco friendly practices to counter Climate change by Building models like , PMC linkage technology, ( PMC's - serve as a hub and interlinking between all stakeholders) .This holistic approach will not only boost employment but also it empowering rural communities in India by providing eco-friendly solutions that generate employment opportunities, promote sustainable agriculture, and reduce carbon emissions. We aims to drive economic growth in rural India while promoting eco-friendly practices. We propose a multifaceted strategy that includes Eco Agrifintech, along with silage and fodder production, carbon trading, and the creation of bio-fuel and bio-coal, all centered around the network of (PMCs) at the Various Geography level accordingly.

The conversations have been useful but the premise seems to be that the social organisations are simply unregulated and those with money need to be careful about them. The reality is that these organisations are highly regulated with multiple reporting requirements.

Why would an investor "donate" in Social Stock Exchange in a Zero-coupon Zero Principle, whereas he can simply donate to the NGO and also avail tax benefit under section 80G? Zero-coupon Zero Principle has no return. At least in traditional way of donation one gets some tax benefits.
