How is he getting two stars from clearing forests?
It's probably an old version of the game. The video was posted like 4 years ago.
Why would you build a temple before turn 19? Wouldn't levelling up cities with ports and mines build economy faster, and then crush temples on turn 19?
Temples level up each 2 turns so any temple you build before turn 19 will be maxed, if you build after turn 19 it will not level up completely.
19:27 why not eating the fish before building the port??
He says it in the left note. He preferred to save those 2 stars, killing the fish wouldn't give him any immediate benefit
Temple costs 20, giant sells for a quarter of that. Temple gives 400 score, a sold giant = 100 temple score, less than half park score. But if you sell the giant around turn 16 to buy a custom house instead, that might give you enough stars to make it more profitable.
Consider making the video full screen and laying over text on the screen itself as an overlay. We can't see what's going on in the actual game.. If all of your videos are going to be super small, I can't subscribe or even watch.
Or maybe get some glasses

Very good video, however it isn’t true that the troop will always be pushed down-left like you said at 22:00. It will be pushed to the same way it moved previously, and if it hasn’t moved, towards the center of the map.

If you disband your units, you lose score points so I advise you shouldn't disband in a perfection game

my strategy 1. get 2-3 villages 2.get roads and port 3.get trades and spam houses next to ports 4.connect with roads 5.buy spiritualisism and spam forrest 6.build battle ship and army 7.spam forrest temple 8.get recources and level up to get super unit 9.dominate the map and get temples
I would not recommend getting spiritualism. There's no need to spam forest/forest temple, and you don't get the ability to disband units. In a few rare cases when you win early and there are lots of forests still untouched, it might make sense, but otherwise, it's just bad. Also, try to focus on dominating the map first while getting lots of ports and customs houses, then do temple spam after.
@@tuppspolytopiaguides4861 well i use spirtualism beacause when enemy attack theres archer's pasive "protection of trees" and when someone attack i kill them straigth away i will not wait but if they have a strong army ill use battleship swordsman and catapults too kill them and the protection points and the temple will be ok when for points and protection points for when u want high score before dominating the map so u wont die easily from greedy neighbor tribes
@@tuppspolytopiaguides4861 and also i do it late game when the stars are 50+ each turn and also i use ports and houses the ports are usefull late game and houses gives u 2+ stars every turn so i dont need to worry about money to build a strong army and sometimes greedy neighbor tribes i ussually buiild an army to protect me

Imagine the score if you would buy trade on turn 2 - getting it as quickly as possible is always proffitable
Actually if you have a super high roll game, the ending is just temple spam, but if the game is not going such well, the points to upgrade all cities into parks Also are battleships and giants worth to go for early? You just used them to capture villages. Amazing game, dude
@@aug444 Getting trade too early can be a waste of money. Early on, it is easier and more effective to increase your income by leveling up cities. Ports are very expensive.
Battleships and giants are great to go for early, they allow you to capture difficult enemy bases while killing lots of their troops. It's really good to conquer the map ASAP so it is worth it to invest in some battleships if you can.
Getting 3 gifts(=15 stars) from the first explorer requires some luck, right?
I try to get at least 3 gifts from the explorer (either tech or stars count as gifts). It requires a bit of luck, but 3 gifts really isn't too much. I've gotten like 6 before. I'd usually try for 3-4 gifts, otherwise I would consider restarting.

At 8:24 you could have promoted the rider to a veteran if you attacked the rider with your warrior first.
Could you please play some music in the background, because it's getting quite boring. Also I would love to see the last part. Something is missing without it. Other than that great explanation of everything.

I made the mistake of putting loads of farms and windmiles down to upgrade cities to lvl 8/9/10 but I guess its better to put loads of temples down
