This helped me understand this system a lot. One of the dampers closes when the air conditioner comes on. I want them both to stay open but I don't know how to program it to prevent this from happening.
gracias amigo!
So I’m having an issue with my zone first BPE when I make a call to either zone 1/2. So basically, if I turn on Zone 1, Zone one will open “OP” but once the air begins to blow, all the other zones show number “99” and open up. But once I unplug the small hose, the other zones go back to close and Zone 1 goes back to “OP” I’m hoping you can help me. Thank you
Should I leave the hose unplugged or will it really most likely damage my unit? Thank you!
Hello. I’m not often maintaining this youtube account. If I’m not mistaken. That hose is related to the air static pressure sensor. That made to prevent blower motor damage. The electronic understands that pressure is too high 99% and sends signal to the rest of the dampers to a bit preopen to discharge pressure and as result reduce load on the motor. That how it works. Yes, You can remove the small air hose but in that case you put more stress on blower motor. Because now the plenum box has no discharge except one “calling” zone. (One open damper) (The blower is creates pressure in the plenum box).
The setpoint on the BPE may be set too low. Call zonefirst, their tech support is really good. You can also scan the QR code on the inside of the cover to download the manual
