    Thank you, for putting this together. The other Niwa videos were killing me. I think this equipment worth it just for the VPD day vs night. I am still wondering how it chooses what to use. For instance if a super small 300 cubic ft grow box is running cold: Right now I don't have to worry about heat because its in my cold garage, so can I specify it to run the environment warming compressor dehumidifier before activating the 800 watt heater? Or does it try to get there as fast as possible and throw everything at it to get to VPD?

    • @greendragonhydro
      @greendragonhydro Год назад

      Unless they have had an update recently, you can only use one appliance to control heat, and the other humidity. you cannot have a dehu and heater controlling temperature together. Hope that makes sense and im understanding you correctly

    Hey mate you can’t use the filter inside out and blow it in reverse, the inside area is not as big as the outside area there for your filter will only be about A fraction of its efficiency and lifespan

      Interesting theory, i see what you are saying with potential for quicker clogging on micropores, but the filter companies that i work with say it is fine to do so.

I do have an exhaust when the lights are off to exhaust excess co2 but don’t currently have any fresh air intake, is the air intake necessary in my application?

    What's the purpose of the Bulletproof Si? I have the basic Cutting Edge 3 part but I'm not sure what the Bulletproof is for. Also, for DWC you said to use 50% of what cutting edge recommends. So let's say that Cutting Edge (as directed on the bottle) recommends 5ml per gallon for seedling. I should use 2.5ml per gallon and so on?

    • @greendragonhydro
      @greendragonhydro 3 года назад

      bulletproof is a silica product that helps strengthen stems and leaves, and helps with pest and disease resistance. Also, Yep I'd go in light for DWC, but double check their website, they may have an updated feed chart for DWC specific

    your intake is coming from outside? do you block the entrance? do you live in an area that is hot year round or dry? I live in new england and its currently winter. is it feasable to start my intake from an exterior window or would it cause temps to be too low?

    • @VictorPoulin

  • @jumpninthedarkalley
    @jumpninthedarkalley 3 года назад

    When your lights are off in the winter how do you keep the room warm with al the cold air blowing in the intake?? Especially if it’s being exhausted too wouldn’t that negate any heat from a heater which would be sucked right out? Other then that I only see perfection. Please explain!!

    • @greendragonhydro
      @greendragonhydro 3 года назад

      Yep theres a technical limitation there, when lights are off there is no heat to kick on the fresh air exchange. it would be better to have some exchange at least 1x/hr just to refresh. Currently I have a small space heater on a thermostat to keep up minimum temps at night. Ideally using better thermostats with day/night settings would solve this issue. Its a continual process and sometimes you have to consider costs v plant growth benefit.
