Yes in Europe NASA TV HD and NASA UHD broadcast on HotBird 13 East, I watched the eclipse on satellite, also CNN International HD broadcasts Free To Air on Astra 28,2 East, unfortunatelly there were no TV feeds so you had to watch CNN or NASA.

In Europe when DVB-T was launched in 2006 we had the same problems especially on long distances. DTV channels broadcasted only on UHF just like today but back then if you lived close to the tower you didn't had problems, but if you live like in my case 30 km you had to use a 19 elements UHF antenna with a preamp, for stable reception. In 2015 the DVB-T2 broadcast was turned on and both analog and DVB-T was shut down we didn't had problems with the new standard. In my case with a 10 element Yagi antenna I have 84 - 90% signal strength on all channels no amplifier. Only if you live 50-70 km away you need a large Yagi antenna with a preamp. But I installed a 19 element Yagi antenna and an amplified splitter with 4 outputs, no problems. And the antenna is connected to my satellite system using diplexers. ATSC 3.0 will solve the problem but with the DRM cr@p I don't think people will accept the new standard

I was a 10 year customer who asked for a 4K Joey. Dish wanted $40 shipping and to resign a 2-year contract. Hell no! 😡 I switched to RUclips TV and couldn't be happier. I'm saving $960 a year. I don't have wires and cords everywhere. No system resets. I just don't understand their business model.
