Jack Cassidy was a troubled man who struggled with his sense of self-worth. It's sad to see how some people can become lost in their own perceptions of the world. Perhaps he turned to drinking to escape from the harsh realities of life and his own insignificance in the grand scheme of things.

He was so terrible to his sons, especially David. He was jealous of David's success. The sad thing is that David never wanted success. He wanted his father's love and approval more than anything but never got it.

I remember his appearance in the tv movie The Phantom of Hollywood,in some respects it mirrored his later life,i remember his death,sad RIP Jack Auckland New Zealand 2024

LOVED him in Columbo!! my favorite villain! Sad how his life ended...and his relationships with his children. To be seen and not heard. He missed what was truly precious about LIFE.

I remember Jack from his performances in "Columbo". Not only was he a great actor, he had that, "it" factor on screen, which a lot of greats just dont have. Very underrated talent, and its sad how he passed.

This is not the only time that Burt Reynolds was linked to a unexplained death. He was believed to have beaten the husband of a woman who starred with him in " The Man who loved Cat Dancing. " When he was questioned, a army of lawyers descended on the set and Reynolds was cleared of wrongdoing. Coincidence?

Still, from what this video said about him, I wonder if Cassidy requested the scene to be shot that way, and if his death was suicide, at least subconsciously.

Omg, Joey Villa sounds just like Falk😂. Well, Shirley Jones was, and still is a doll. She did everything right. I think Jack was just a narcissistic fool, and quite immature. I, however, did love him on all of the Colombos. I do know that Jack used to throw his cigarettes on the floor of his house, LIT, and I think his death wasn’t because 14:45 of the psychic, but he was lured into believing the psychic. I lived on the Gulf Coast for years and traveled Old Hwy 90 where Jayne was killed. It's an extra spot. I never drove at Night time but even in the daylight it sent shivers. I hate she fell so far from Hollywood she was reduced to playing what amounted to a cheesy Strip club in Gulfport,MS. Sad!

Let's be real. I was a huge Superman fan in the Fifties. However the man George Reeves was an alcoholic, Narcissistic, Adulterer and not a good example for the young who loved him.
