Super Beetle Windshield Install
Просмотров 5 тыс.6 лет назад
My 1974 Super Beetle gets a new windshield. Like many other cars of its era, its windshield was not glued in, but rather "roped in". A rubber gasket is what holds the windshield glass in the window frame. As Suad pulls the rope he had embedded in the gasket before installation, the rope pulls the rubber gasket over the lip of the window frame thus sealing the glass in. Because of Saud's experie...

So does McCoy just always carry insta-kindey pills on him?
Awww the lady being so happy about her kidney is adorable
Bones is gonna have a fit at the 21st century's medical insurance business...
I got to see this movie in theaters just a few years ago for the first time. The lady with the kidney dialysis always stuck out to me, because they could have easily not included the scene. McCoy walks down the hall, cut to Jim looking over the charts. But they did include it, because McCoy is a doctor first and foremost. I’m sure if he could have gotten away with it, he would have helped every single person in that hospital in a heartbeat. But he was on a time crunch, but not so much of one that he can’t help someone in need with something as trivial to him as a new kidney. There’s a similar bit in the final chase where someone in a cast falls over, and he helps them up quickly while they run. He doesn’t have to, he knows he could be caught, but he does it regardless. It’s why I’ll always love the original Star Trek. Little things that the cast did can never be taken away, and as much as I would have liked more Kelvin timeline movies (yeah, sue me, but I enjoyed them Goddammit) Abrams would NOT have given us anything like that.
With all his expertise, the caring doctor whispers to his patient, "Come on, Chekhov, wake up." Bones is the man.
Can we just talk about the music? It’s very difficult to write symphonic music for a comedic scene and this is just superb.
My Most Favorite scene in the entire movie! 🎉 Would really love to see the future. ❤❤
A couple of hours in the hospital and Bones could have put them out of business for a day.
Dr. McCoy looked right at home. The techniques might be way cruder, but I bet it felt like any starfleet hospital
I remember the crowd at the theater burst out cheering when they showed them materializing on the field. True trekkies! Good times in 1984! I feel so old. 😆😂
He says dialysis like a doctor today being told by a patient he's getting his leeches treatment.
One of my favorite movies ever! Best scene in the entire film. Next, of course, to the line, "Admiral....there be WHALES HERE!"
I love that-- even by the time of the original series-- Star Trek medicine is advanced enough that McCoy can give a patient the first thing he grabs from his bag and it'll do the job.
Aunque sea fan de Star Trek, lo de la inquisicion española no estuvo bien. Es el eterno ataque del sistema contra algo que jamás pudo igualar: pura envidia. ViVA LA HISPANIDAD
His tombstone should read,"Hes dead, Jim!" R.I.P. Deforest Kelley.
山本のメガネを壊す笹本の破壊力。すげぇ。
"one little mistake" funny back when we knew what a woman was
I wonder how Beverly crusher from the next generation would handle a twentieth century hospital
Bones carries an MRI in his shirt pocket 😂
I've always wondered if it was a good idea to save that old lady what if she grew up to be the next Hitler?
"Not now pavel.." 😂
I wish I could run into a time-traveling McCoy and get one of those pills, I'll bet it would cure my damn diabetes, repair my stupid pancreas!
Ah, the scene that Trekkies probably wanted to see for years: McCoy arguing with a 20th C doc. And Kirk's little retort about the 20th C doc being "unprofessional" -- the doc was being perfectly professional! But in the end, it don't matter!
"Immediate post prandial upper abdominal distention!" Everyone was dying with laughter when we all saw this scene the first time. I wonder if there was ANY other doc in 1986 that would define cramps that way!
In the future they knew masks were useless.
This was one of my favorite sequences from this film, and The Voyage Home is my favorite Star Trek movie.
See the rest of the story in the novel "Lost To Eternity."
Let me nerd out here for a second, There was a justice dc marvel crossover comic years ago I read as a kid, where the avengers saw the dc world and the justice league saw the marvel world. They were both trying not to interfere with the others world but Batman couldn’t help himself after seeing a rampage by the punisher and basically said “I think the fuck NOT!” And that always reminded me of McCoy
Jeff? What planet are you from?
The lady with the non-functional kidney that Bones cured went on to invent Transparent Aluminum
Watching this, it just makes me love the character Bones even more. DeForest's portrayal is absolute perfection.
I love it ....
Pretty goofy, but funny.
3:35 .
Are we back in dark ages. I feel like this the Spanish Inquisition. That is medicine today!
“Fully functional… like Data!”
The top part of the device used on Chekov is the hanger and engineering section from a Klingon Cruiser model kit.
From a time when movies were enjoyable :)
Since I was a kid, I've heard in my head "dialysis? da fuq?" "here swallow this."
great movie
I tried doing this with pre-heated rubbers, soapy water, silcone spray, mastic, two friends to help, any number of different cords and all I did was plaster the trim with mastic that I couldn't get off, slice through every rubber and lose my friends. Eventually I managed it very slowly with screwdrivers to push the rubber over the lip. It took months.
this is a certified dr mccoy moment
Couldn't he just stun them?
Love this scene. The movie was way underrated.
Saw this in the theater and cried my eyes out with the old lady. and that was years before I was diagnosed with PKD. This is hands down the best sequence of all the films.
Tom Mustin. Doctor on the left in the elevator. Went on to be a TV anchor in (among many places) Denver. Member of the famous Mustin family of naval aviators (for whom the destroyer USS Mustin is named). I worked with him in NC.
I get tears in my eye rewatching a classic that will never see another equal! BRAVO TO A CLASSIC
If it hasn’t been invented yet you cannot bring it from the future
you came in with a female, one little mistake (addadicktame) happens in California ALOT!
Not cramps… she ate too much
