Gediminas was a king of Lithuania, not the "grand duke". We had 14 kings, not the "only" king Mindaugas. In my opinion, the best view to Vilnius is from the tower of the Palace of Rulers. Thank you for this video!

The yellow sign is saying "Government property, the city of Kaunas is asking the government to fix it #IsItNotShameful". The city wants the government to either sell the building or fix it so it's not standing there abandoned.

Is there much cultural stuff happening there? Museums, galleries, live music?
@@naturallanguageacquisition there are several museums, a famous one is the devils museum. Live music you have to look for the events. The theaters seem busy but they are in lithuanian usually

Depends on what you like ( I am from Kaunas), but yes there is a lot going on, but you will have to schedule, it's unlikely to have a big live music event every day, but it has them regularly, just need to come at the right time. Museums and galleries plenty of them even a bit too many, to the point where you would need to spend a few full days to visit them all.
4:37 Modern art gallery, 5:32 Art gallery, there is War and Čiurlionis art gallery in on interwar building and so on.
There are about 60-70 worthwhile museums and galleries in Kaunas, but it all depends on what you're into... Plenty of sites can help you there, e.g. "visit kaunas lt" (with dots, of course). Plus, it is a Unesco World Heritage site for its interwar modernist architecture.
