I like watching the old commercials. Expecially the Car commercials; seeing the old models and prices back then.!

I was only 9 years old in the 5th grade. My parents took me and my 4 year old sister. Man time flies hopefully everyone is enjoying life.

When I was 8, my Dad took me to a double header at Met Stadium in 1978 because it was Rod Carew jersey day and I got that scratchy, hot, polyester beauty. In the second inning of the first game I ate a hot dog and puked so we left for home because there was puke everywhere and my Dad was embarrassed. We got home and I slept the rest of the afternoon but I still had my jersey!

Revisiting this video as I do about once or twice a year and I absolutely must point out something I researched since the last time here. About the middle of this broadcast there's a segment with a Dr. Murray Sanders. It turns out he is the same Dr. Murray Sanders that was heavily implicated in covering up Japanese war crimes and lobbied for immunity for those involved with the horrific "scientific research" of Unit 731. After the War, he settled in South Florida and involved himself in neurotoxin research. I wonder if at the time of this broadcast any of this was public knowledge. Also the wildlife sanctuary at the end of this clip was open for decades, but closed under mysterious circumstances; Wally, one half of the brother and sister duo that ran it, was found dead of an apparent gunshot to the head on the property, and a fire had been set. His sister Bonnie had been locked inside the property and police had to break her out before putting out the fire. People are still unsure if it was indeed really a suicide or foul play, and the fact that he'd want to commit arson and ostensibly kill all the animals just didn't add up for his sister and others. On a lighter note I also can't help but laugh my ass off at the Poinciana Place as when the guy says, "the beautiful UNCROWDED Palm Beaches!" 45 years later and this city couldn't be any more crowded, it's literally insane driving at rush hour. Goddamn snowbirds.

It's rare we get snow. It's 2023. No snow like that in years.

I had such a teen crush on Lori Tucker starting at age 13 I remember waking up early to see her do the early morning news cast. I think my crush lasted to early adulthood. Oh my I forgot about Dr Red Duke.

Born in 1987 I didn’t see snow until it snowed in late 2010 😅

I watched a LOT of baseball....and Rod Carew was the best hitter I ever saw. He could absolutely handle a bat. When called upon, he could lay down a bunt with precision. He was not as fast a pure runner as Tim Raines or Ralph Garr, but he studied the tendencies of pitchers and had a real FEEL and timing....so he was an amazing base stealer. Loved Rod Carew.....

George, JW would eventually go to my neck of the woods, KTVT (CBS DFW) where he would be Chief Meteorologist for a few years before moving back to The Alamo City.

Yes remember woke up with flu like symptoms scheduled to work that day called my boss threatened to fire me if didn't come in probably thought wanted to enjoy snow anyway he didn't after all😁.... remember it melted later in the afternoon 🤔.
