For anyone watching, you can split the metal bush casing by using a 12mm drill bit, drill the two holes from the bottom and it should come apart, no need for a disk cutter. Should take no more than 30 seconds.
fiat grande punto, exactly the same. Nightmare. Fiat quoted 390 plus vat for arb. Top job on this. 👍👍
Just found this video i spent 3hrs trying to get this off. Your a life saver thanks for posting.
All the confirmation needed, cheers bud 👍🏻
Silly design, why?
Is this the same as the Corsa e Vxr as I'm doing mine this wkend, thanks 2015 plate .
Lee, I’d imagine so. I’m pretty sure you’ll have the same clamp around your ARB so yes. With it being a larger engine the roll bar itself might be a slightly different shape so moving it towards you and back might be easier or a little more difficult but doable never the less 👍
@@gall49611 thanks for that mate, great video, will be a big help.. thanks again, much appreciated 👍
Great workaround - many thanks 👍
I've replaced all link bars, lower bottom arms, strut top bearings on my corsa d pizza delivery car 🍕. I will renew arb as showen in your video and hopefully will cure that annoying knocking. Thank you 👍
Massive help cheers fella
Absolute life saver mate, thank you. If it helps, when you cut the bracket off one side, the whole ARB can be pulled out from the opposite side with a bit of luck.
Glad it helped mate 👌
The two halves are not welded together, the nut on the upper part has a small tube that goes through the bottom part then is spread open, use a counter sinking bit or large drill and grind it away, chisel between the two parts, file it so its smooth put the new bush in and put back on the car...getting the bar out in the first place is the hard part.
Glad you got the job done, I think I understand what you mean and I can see how that worked for you. Haven’t had any problem with my method but totally see how yours could be easier for some 👍
Did i work? 😊
Yes, still going strong and will be a 10 minute job next time around 👍
@@gall49611 okay 😁 Nice I will try later today 😊👍 my biggest concern is whether the bolts under the car will crack when I unscrew them. it will not be easy to get them out so 😊
Its fucking Working man 😁👍 thanks
does the clamp sit nice and flush even when cut and smoothed off?
Yep certainly does, been on the car a while now 👍
Another way to do it, without compromise parts: www.drive2.ru/l/480017365824701230/
Very similar 👍
Highly useful video, many thanks for posting
Thought I was going mad not being able to part the top of the clamp from the bottom. Great video explanation. Ridiculous idea 👍
Excellent video very informative thanks!
Just saved me a packet. Brilliant, thanks!
