Beth I love this! The internet is so full of well-practiced, highly skilled craftspeople (or at least that’s who end up with the mega followings) and that’s great, and it’s wonderful to see what they make, and learn from their expertise, but that’s not where any of us start out! We don’t start with the best materials or the state-of-the-art equipment or studio or space. But if we want to craft, if we want the joy or the breathing space, we have to first find courage to have a go at something we know nothing about and might be initially (or even permanently) not the best at! Value the encouragement :)
Aww thank you Hannah!!! Yeah, exactly! The process of crafting & creating can be filled with so much joy and give so much fulfilment and satisfaction, but it is unfortunately so easy to be discouraged from trying to because it might involve "failing" or being "bad" at something, when really there's nothing wrong with creating something that's no masterpiece! Still something I'm trying to learn! :)
