Use rubberized paint on the fence panels (see Van Oaks video). Fill the voids on the edges of the columns with some wood filler or spackling. Rebar is better and easier to use as stakes.

The two things I think could help sell the effect is to have the low lying fog (which you addressed in the video as this was just a test) and it appears to me that the spot lights are interfering with the laser. I was planning on doing something similar this year but my plan was to have a contractor fence around the area to contain the low lying fog some, have the spot lights on the outside lower than the fence to make sure it doesn't interefere with the laser, we will see how it actually works out though. in theory everything always works out.

Hello! How many middle pieces do you have? It looks like there's only 1 am I correct? And for the door, what is the size of it? How did you address the downward tilting of the short throw projector inside the box? On the top part of the threaded rod, where is it anchored to be stable, I saw that it is not goes through the top plywood. Thank you.

I need a re-pack video too, haha!!! The re-pack instructions that came with the snowman are not helpful. I have looked around for a video, but no luck so far. The unpacking of the snowman was super fast and I tried pausing it so I could see how it came out of the box and I think it helped a little bit, but a full video on re-packing everything in its original box would be so very helpful!! Great videos by the way! I also did not know that Sam's had more in the prismatic family. I have the deer and the snowman, and I will now be on the hunt for some other pieces to add for next Christmas!!

The laser swamp effect is much more convincing if the laser is pointed in the direction of the observer (at low level so it won't blind anyone, usually knee to ankle level). Personally not a Jeep guy myself but regardless of that - those Jeeps are real cool! Hard to pick a favorite from these but I think Duck-N-Dive is the best.

I bet you could further enhance the illusion of water by getting some buckets of water and putting an ultrasonic mist maker and an aquarium bubbler in them to create the effect of roiling and bubbling water in spots around your ship. Or you could hook up some pumps on a timer to go off and splash every now and then.

one way to cool the fog and have it lay low is by filling a plastic tub with dry ice. cut holes for the hose that are the same size as the hose somewhere on the tub, preferably the bottom. Make sure the holes you cut are on opposite sides and on the furthest ends of the plastic tub. cut the hose in half and attach both ends to the cooling box where you made your previous holes. Seal the ends and you should have thick low lying fog!

A good way to make your fog lay low and to the ground is by cooling it. There’s lots of videos on how to make cooling chambers and i think there are fog machines that have an option to cool the fog before it even leaves the machine! Id love to see how this turns out when you get the improved fog and lights!!!!

Making memories with this much effort will last a lifetime. Here in Australia, Halloween is in springtime and the stormy, rainy days are more common now. Our things would be rained out and blown away, we put up in a day and away before bed. So it’s hard for my one to bother. We do, but most ask us why we do 😔
