We HAD to turn back! - High Oil Temp
Vlad and I went on a flight to test 2 things, his autopilot, to collect data, and also the StarLink Mini that he got to use in flight on his Vans RV-10.
Almost on our halfway mark to Arlington, we had some problems with Oil Temperature, red line on oil and CHT, so we had to turn around and prepared ourselves for a possible emergency landing.
This airplane was built by Vlad himself, I made a video review about this amazing machine, the link is here: ruclips.net/video/Yf2-IQR8Bto/видео.html

Are there any scholarships for flying school? And are the EAA scholarships valid there?? How does EAA application work?
Which training school would you recommend in Canada
410-413 is nothing. Pitch down and rich it up. Pull throttle back slightly. You’re fine
We did all of that. Oil was still on redline But thanks for the tip
@@FlyWithPedro what was oil temp? Temp location at outlet before cooler ?
The piper turbo arrow is one of my favorite GA planes to fly on simulators, it's like the muscle car of GA aircraft lol
hello Pedro, great learning video about PPL and CPL, I am 44yr old who has interest in obtaining a CPL, do you think at this age, and the market that we see now, that I can do that, and how long it will take me to obtain this licence. Thanks
I love how calm you both were.💯
I like to think that even if we had to land on a highway we would be able to keep calm and follow the procedures, Panicking would be the worst, I believe that that’s where mistakes start to happen
Great situational awareness and CRM!
Hello Is it a requirement to have 1500 flight hours in canada to work for the airlines? What is the average cost of ATPL integrated in canada? Does the modular ATPL considered a disadvantage if applying to the airlines?
hey, not for all airlines, regionals have lower minimums as far as I know. I think around 120k for the integrated course maybe? it doesn't really makes a difference how you got the licenses as long as you have them. My suggestion is, get your CPL Multi IFR and get a job, get experience. a frozen ATP with 250 hours won't help you much, you better get out there and start working. and get your ATP once you have more flight time and experience.

Hey bro whats ur view on pro ifr ?
I don’t personally know them, I’ve heard it can get very busy at times, with some students being put on wait lists. But you should always confirm that with one of their students to be sure.
it was really helpful thank you<3

I appreciate that! Thanks for the support!
are you required to take a hs or college course before flight school? or are you able to just sign up and they will teach you everything?
grade 12 or equivalent is what you need

I flew more Cessnas than Pipers in my training, but heres my experience. I really want to like the Piper Warrior/Archer, because it looks really good and is cheap to fly and maintain. But everytime I flew it, I just got annoyed by the door, the constant switching of fuel tanks, the limited outside view because of the low wing but no canopy design, and also the lack of a "big" window on the pilots side. I just feel more claustrophobic in a Piper and if something was to go wrong, you just have to hope your passenger doesn´t get knocked unconscious so he oder she doesn´t block the only escape route. Cessnas also have their drawbacks, constant bending down because I am too tall, having to refuel with a ladder, more expensive, but all in all, I like flying Cessnas mainly because I can view the ground below me, which (to me) is the most beautiful aspect of flying. But both aircraft are great and I don´t want to hate on anyone flying Piper, at the end of the day we´re all just having fun in the air with our own preferences!
Awesome feedback on the airplanes and your experience. I do enjoy the low wing for air to air VIS, but I understand that the Cessnas have a better view while flying.
The reason im watching this video is because… my 2 discovery flight where in each on the aircraft at the time i didnt know which on to use i had my first hours on the piper warrior after i had change CFI (glad I did) he told me what I preffered i could give an answer so he said lets try on the cessna one more time and the warrior youll choose since you are still fresh in flying. The difference that was the most remarkable for me is that flying a piper is more hands on than a cessna example putting the flaps on ans switching the gas tank and those little extra steps you need to be aware of is the reason I think i feel in love with the Piper. I think os fun to manually pull ans push the flaps while in the cessna is just an easy button. In addition cessna usually seem to be more up to date with technology and i will like to keep ip old school in my flight training. Im still new to flying but i wanted to share my preference. But if i could add a door to the piper I would 🤣
we all wished the piper had 2 doors haha
Hi please do let me know how much we can make me in Surrey bc and which car is best for deliveries
I've never done it in Surrey, but I'm guessing it would be similar
How long does the entire CPL training take if everything goes smoothly?
PPL + CPL, 14-18 months or so
I flew a piper warrior that was 47 year old 😅
When you say “empty weight” are you saying full or empty of fuel? Because 60 gallons of fuel is nearly 500# of weight. Leaving 600# for passengers and luggage.
60 gallons of fuel is 360 pounds
@@kirtflesher1603 it’s only 6# per gallon? Hm. Figured it was 8 like water
As an immigrant with a work permit for a year in Canada, can I get my ppl during that time?
What do you say is the total cost to go from 0 to CPL ? and the time taken.
Thank you - useful content.
Hey! Just came across this video, and noticed the medical exam requires hearing check. Would it be a problem if a person can hear perfectly fine in one ear but has no hearing in the other?
Hey, please contact a professional doctor to help you with that. A transport canada approved medical check can answer all your questions.

Oh really? I’ll keep an eye out for him next time.
What's the salary for instructor?
It depends a lot on how many students you have, how much you fly, and the weather Anywhere from 0 to 5000 per month I’d guess
@@FlyWithPedro so it's variable..
How much time it will take to complete CPL ?
12-14 months Depends on you
Thanks a lot bro for giving a lot of information
In 1983-1987 I flew the Piper Warrior II one day per week. I love that aircraft!
me too. and yeah, this plane is really fun and cool to fly. I have flown this plane before like 9 times, and I can tell you its one of the best ones to fly, so comfortable and fast.
I know this A/C I flew HTC years ago when I was a student pilot years ago. I think it was owned by Montair Aviation at the time!
Oh that’s nice!! Today it’s part of the Canadian Aviation College fleet
Hello Pedro!!! I have a big doubt now and that is that in my country I already got my private pilot’s license and I have more than 100 hours of flying only with the first PPL license. I was wondering if I am going to study there at CAC, my hours could be counted in Canada and if I can start studying with them from the second license? Or would I have to start from scratch?
You can validade your license here. You won’t loose your hours
I saw all your videos on RUclips and the CAC Academy where you are studying seems like an excellent option, especially because if you get an instructor’s license you can stay working with them as is your case. Thank you for the helpful video. I got the same recorder and using with a splitter but I am getting a loud squeaking noise whenever no one is speaking. Do you know how to get rid of that?
