How to make your own skateboard
This video will introduce you to the steps of construction of a skateboard. Step by step, you will be able to make your own! Hope you enjoy and don't forget, that's a homemade method, so it might not be the best board that you will ride... but by far the funniest to do!

Просмотров 271 тыс.10 лет назад
Dans le cadre du Projet Personnel d'Orientation(PPO), j'ai fait mon propre skateboard et je vous fais part de la procédure que j'ai suivie pour le réaliser.

My brother was in iraq in the marines when he sent me my first hellium element board set up with there red wax and trucks the wheels where nice too.He even bought me a abunch of doh dohs and the first element movei. Love thie vid. helped me alot. I want to learn to make my own board. gun give this a go. Thanks again sir have a awsome day
Could anyone help and give me a material list with all the materials?
Inspirant, ça donne envie d’essayer. Merci !
low smash always .
@joseph Garbaccio !
What materials do you need to make a skateboard
How would you make the nose and tail different heights with this press or do you just not?
If You believe in Your Heart That Jesus died On The Cross And Rose again on The Third day and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord then you will be saved
Hello friend, could you pass the rest of the plans. greetings from Argentina
can I get one for free
I wanted to see someone skate it !
Can anyone help me out with the measurements? I got lost
Coool
Wondering if you’ve had any subsequent problems with the polyurethane glue? This could be one application where it shines. It’s very waterproof. But I’m concerned that it’s too thin and can’t bridge even tiny gaps except by foaming. Maybe no problem as even the foam is very sticky.
Can you send me the templates?
There are many similar projects in woodglut's plans.
Nice video.
I like that u used a spatula lol
Why skateboard videos dont show how they put the wheels.
I wish i have a skate board
3 x 1/8" ply?! Every skater knows boards are made of 7 layers of Canadian Maple!! 🤘That thing looks like it's built for a horse
skateboard deck price $50 machinery to make a deck $50000 but the process of making is priceless😀
I am with u man. It's all about the process, what makes each handmade deck priceless.
Hey man do yo still have the template in your computer

I purchased some excellent plans from the Woodprix website.

Just a thought... But if you used thinner planks (eg 20mm) when creating the concave etc, you might be able to fill in the steps/edges with a really strong filler, rather than relly on cutting away so much through sanding. It's just that the more you have to sand away, the more likely that your top and bottom mould will not really match perfectly. Which means a much weaker bond and way less deck strength.
I understand what you’re saying about how sanding the two halves of the mold individually technically creates dissimilar pieces which means theres some variation in in the press resulting in a weaker (albeit very slightly I’m sure) board. I also understand how using more, thinner planks increases the resolution of the copies, so to speak but I don’t know how filler would make it more precise than just sanding from that point? Also, how did you decide an exact number like 20mm for the recommended plank thickness? Is this a standard that’s in use in the industry? I’m assuming you’re referring to something like a resin or epoxy as the filler but I’m trying to imagine applying it and I’m not experienced at all with any of it but I’d imagine, if it’s the right consistency, you can pour it on and/or use something like a large plastic putty knife and special brush but would it really be more consistent? I guess the force on gravity is pretty consistent lol but won’t it also cause more to pool up in the concaves? Maybe if you exaggerate the concaves on the template that would make up for it🤔
I like this idea, a bit ! What I like is the idea of using narrower material for the forms. I think that a cheap and readily available material such as MDF could be used. It comes in many thicknesses. What I don't like, is the original idea of sanding, or the idea of filling. I think that if a narrow material was used, the contours would be close enough to be left alone altogether. Let's assume 10mm MDF, I could work with that using a jigsaw, as I don't have access to a bandsaw. But having never tried this, it's all speculation. I will have to have a go. I want to make a topmount dropdeck longboard of a slightly more compact length than my other boards.
hello love what you do ! could you please send the patrons for 1 to 7 on positive and negative mold if possible in order to have the (1-2-3-4-3-2-1). I would love to try it myself please. Thank You Sir !!

This is definitely an amateur way to make a board.. but the proper way would be to layer 7 maple veneers to ensure structural integrity, and do press that in between your mold. Any money that board you made will break after a month of riding
Learn some manners
Great video 👍🏽
Woodglut is full of amazing tips. It helped me a lot.
pov: u wanna make ur own but u dont the materials
Work ,but its not a super Exactly Mold
will you make me a skateboard please? im super short and need one 24inches long instead of 31 :)
To anyone who sees this, god bless you and your family I hope this comment brings someone joy. You are all beautiful and amazing. Have a great day
Right back at ya ;)
How thick every plywood
1/16"
Is that centimeter or milimeter
wow this is crazy I did this exact same thing as a high-school wood shop project when I was maybe 15 ( im 27 now). I remember I accidently cut a deck at 7.25 wide and gave it to my brother who learned 360 pressure flips on that same board because it was so narrow. He later landed too hard and snapped it. I was so sad afterwards lol
what is this first song name???
Is there any European website or company from which I could order the adhesive papers with the graphics?
you could buy the adhesive papers and just download png. images online of what you might want in order to get a transparent background image to use
btw, where were you able to get the beams shown in the video, couldn't find them in home depot
@@forze3944 the beams are 2x8 ("two by eight"), they're in the lumber aisle. Ask someone in an orange apron for help.
could i get a materials list?
Check this out diyskate.com/diy-skateboards.html you'll find all the information you need :)
Thickness of each board?
I wanna see u make a board n skate it. How durable is it
Time to make a really ghetto skateboard
the song is annoying
what is the width of each Board that you used for the mold?
Bravo 🤝
honestly i didn't like the music cause it just keeps repeating and it gets annoying
Song @ 5:50 please?
c ponsé pas sablé et sur les 3/4 de la video ya pas de son
How do i trace the length and width?? And how did you draw the shape??
There are 2 ways 1: Get a skateboard (Without the trucks) and trace it, make sure it’s still. 2: trace one half of a skateboard, cut it out, and then turn it around the other side and trace it.
Does anyone know where to find compression joints or any alternatives ?
In any hardware store :)
