Thank you for this video, somehow youtube recommended it to me and the timing and the topic couldn't be more perfect! I was always good at drawing since childhood but over the years I took this gift for granted because it was so easy for me and never put much effort. I taught myself some techniques, I learned how to use some mediums but never considered doing art more seriously. Until a month ago when I just heard that inner voice "Why are you neglecting your gift?" And I decided to start again doing art and to make some videos and share them with the world. Perfect timing for your video to reach me, that inner voice is speaking even louder through you and your words! God bless and good luck in everything! One of the best things u can do for urself is to learn how to separate ur own voice from the voices of those who we grew up listening to. Learn how to recognise ur initial thoughts as the voices of the past. Some will be kind but others might be the ones hurting us that we are still listening to. Ur voice is the most important, what you think and believe, don't just accept the voices of others, learn how to form ur own opinions! U got this x

Been thinking about this a lot too. Having lost momentum bc I out grew my little studio space, then had to move to the garage, which isn’t better by any stretch. I can’t afford to lose anymore time, or spend anymore money. Just have to work with what I have to work with. It’s a mindset shift for sure. We’ll be refined silver when we’re done right? Reflecting our maker’s image on our shiny perfect surface. Upwards and onwards!

I’m not sure what my artist superpower is, but it f I were to pick, I think it would be images of small mercies. Encouraging moments that seem so small and fleeting. I love to encourage my kids and others to just exist for a moment. Be in a hug. Smell a flower. Watch a lizard run across the wall. I love small fleeting moments. I think God is completely in them. They can be so profound as to change your entire outlook in a day or even a week. Like a genuine smile from a stranger that makes you smile back in spite of yourself. To me, that is exactly what art is. A captured emotion, or moment. A thought, a vision… that reveals a universal truth. I just prefer to highlight a moment of beauty, or a moment of sweetness, or comfort. With God’s help, I hope to show him to other people through his character of using the meekest and smallest for the most profound miracles.

I probably should. Part of why I’m in the mastery program. I wanted to find a place in process where I could work consistently and develop my style. Love seeing you progress. I need to catch up 😂

Your videos are getting better. I like your choice in music. I would like your music turned down while you’re talking just a little. The tempo and music style for talking over is perfect. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you do! I like the graphic pop or street art look, but I would love to see some of the atmospheric dimension and edges you had in some of the more representative works. Which ever direction you go, it’s awesome to see your personality start to come out. 😊 Onward!

I'm pleased with how the video quality looks and the sound. I just need to turn off the auto-focus I think next time as it keeps trying to focus on me, so I hope that isn't too annoying for you. The ending to the video is a little bit abrupt as I started talking about cameras and settings for taking photo's for art prints. I decided to cut all of that out as it needs a video of it's own really.
