Great video. Could you replace the drain plug with a spout to use the cooler as a cold water dispenser?
I do not believe so.
These are now 169 what happened 😂
Couldn't tell ya, the video is 2 years or more old
Just unboxed mine today. Better late than never.
It doesn’t hold ice if your in Texas.
😂 or Az
I’m exactly the same as you. When the need for chest waders is called for, I’ll put them on. Other than that, I ALWAYS wear waist waders. Just saw these today and I’m about to place an order. Wasn’t too sure if they were just gimmicky and didn’t think so, your review convinced me they’re more than worth the money. I like the denim look, but do wish they offered different options…
4:13 The bottom straps are obvoius, but what do you with the hooks on the side skirts?
The side skirts stay snug if you have the entire cover on correctly.
Never heard of them? Where are they Built, the Warranty on them?
do you strap it to the roof or your truck or use a trailer?
Either slide it in the bed of the truck, or use a trailer
Any updates? Been looking at a pointer.
We aren't working with them anymore, but excellent firearms
Why?
Now they are 170 dollars.
Scranton ? Say high to the folks down there at Dunder Mifflin
they look like good coolers but where are they made?
are these any good still after using for awhile?
Yes sir, still using ours with no issues.
Can you turn the sound off
As in the button sound or the actual mic
Just bought one excited for it to come in
Hard to believe you're still promoting their saddle they've taken all of our money and we've never gotten anything in return obviously a scam
We are not promoting then any longer. We have not done any videos on them since last year. They had a great saddle we were unaware of them going out of business. Until recently
Is there a second review?
There is but haven't put it up yet
@@GondellaOutdoors I am trying to find another battery for it. Any suggestions?
That is a badass bow I shoot the DLX but hopefully soon have the smoke here soon! I love the videos man keep up the good work!
Flat Branch saddles is a scam they're a bunch of fucking crooks it's a company that pretends to care but steal your money shame on anybody that promotes flat Branch saddles 😠😡🤬🤬🤬
Did anyone receive theirs? I ordered back in October. They quit responding to my emails in Feb and as of last week their website no longer exists. Sad
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.. HAVEN'T RECIEVED MY ORDER FROM 9 MONTHS AGO. THEY ARE TAKING PEOPLE MONEY, AND NOT RESPONDING TO EMAILS OR CALLS..
Has anyone received their order?
Nope, 8 months now and counting!
Officially a scam. Their website no longer exists. Trying to recoup my money through credit card company since past PayPal time period. Sucks!!!
Anyone had any luck contacting Flat Branch? Ordered mine back in December and now I’m not even getting email responses.
@@CCasto they went under. No website any longer. Lost my battle with PayPal and ultimately Discover so ate $340. Super bummed out
Hmmm...just paid over $50 for the same exact bear spray at REI and it didn't come with a holster.
A year in, do you have an actual review of the reel and how it holds up to being fished?
Yep if you watched our TV show you would have seen it in action and heard how well it does. We will be doing further reviews on all the fishing gear next month.
@@GondellaOutdoors so definitely something you'd recommend?
@@noahw.elliott9525 100% especially at the prices.
Yhbmkoo
How's the lid? Is it solid? I stand on coolers sometimes?
1000% solid
Follow up review in the works?
Yep
Is the routing for the anchor system pretty straight forward?
Yes 100% , and it's super easy to drop and retrieve. We ran a mushroom anchor mostly to just keep a slow drift so I could fish and row when needed. We did get a drift spike this year to solidly anchor in place.
Simple but very smart ideas, how did we not think of them definitely have to look them up thankyou for sharing...
You’re welcome 😊
thank you for this review on the tumblers good sir. This was exactly what i was looking for im ordering one today.
I ordered my saddle two days ago, but I am concerned that it may take forever to receive it. It appears that there is a large back-log of people waiting. I can be patient for a short time, but not months... We'll see how it works out.
So lets think about this if I buy the "Echo Hang-On tree stand " for $249.99 which weighs 11.5 pounds and then we have the Elevate Stand Co for $459.99 which they say is 10.6 pounds and I am sure they did not weigh with the foam seat seems everyone lies in this industry. So lets say the weight is dead on for argument sake we are paying $210.00 more to save 1 lb. Seems like a lot of money for 1lb. So when you say just buy it? I am like thinking WTF!
Again the difference is not just a pound. It is the the way the elevate is made. Much stronger, no diving board flex on the platform. It will not be for everyone. But if you are a serious mobile hunter, and are not into the whole saddle deal, a pound is quite a difference. And the .6 in the foam seat.
Can't wait to see some numbers from you guys.. If you get a chance shoot something around the 540gr area..
Will do. Thanks for watching
@@GondellaOutdoors Curious to see how the Smoke stacks up against my 80lb X30..
@@chucklewis5396 that will definitely be interesting. I shot an x30 last season and loved it. But definitely looking forward to shooting the smoke this year
Throwing down!!
How did the hunt go? Seen them this year and thinking about booking next season
@adam kell, since we did this video we have hunted with them ever since. Keith the other host of our show the first year shot a great 9, and I shot a darn good 8. This year Keith couldn't get a real nice 10 to get into shooting range. I however shot an amazing old buck. He was 17 scoreable points , 300 on the hoof and 6 and half years old. If you watch our show on CarbonTv you can see all 3 deer. Scott and his team are awesome. We plan to hunt with B and D every year for asomg as we can.
Definitely a biased video, you’re missing a few things on the Mathews as well. You can put any quiver on the V3X, including the Web HD which cost the same as a tight spot. I’m not sure where you came up with a QAD IMX adapter, but the bows require no such purchase. They just attach directly to the dovetail. Also kinda hilarious that you’re calling it slow at an IBO of 340 lol, and that doesn’t mean the highest possible speed, it’s tested at 70lbs and 30” with a 350 grain arrow. Also, there are no set lb limbs on a Mathews, it’s changed with mods. The 60# mods can be turned safely down to 35#’s. Just make sure you actually know all the facts before talking about a bow. Yes I do shoot a Mathews, also really like several other new bows, but this video is full of false info
Also not a personal attack, but just an observation. You talk about your shoulder hurting and needing a good draw cycle. I will agree the newer Mathews are stiff and have a slight hump before the valley. But regardless of the bow I suggest you look at how you’re drawing the bow, you’re pulling across your chest it looked like, which is harder on your shoulder. Look at videos of how to draw over your shoulder, if you pay attention to it you’ll likely notice this feels quite a bit better to you
Reid, I'm know all the specs on the bow. And although you say not a personal attack you did just that. Speaking for poundage, they do not advertise the bow for any other poundage. As for the QAD if you paid attention to what I said, is you need the adapter for a regular HDX, the Matthew's will mount direct. And I am aware how you get IBO speed, I've been in the industry for 29 years. I said for a flagship bow that's slow compared to some of the other new releases. About 10 people who commented on this video knew exactly why we did this video. And I was using the example the quiver that was on the bow. The entire comparison was built on the integration not on other accessories.
@@reidmillburg2774 when I'm not able to draw a bow anymore I'll worry about my draw. Until then, my draw works for me, and I have no issue during the season as I shoot all spring and summer before the season starts. I'm not a target Archer I'm a bowhunter.
@@reidmillburg2774 also let me know what type.of shoulder issue you have. If I draw over my shoulder it will come.out of its socket.
Good video about a great product how about adding a link in your description 😀
Done!
😂 honestly I respect your opinion, Mathews is one of my go to bows. You complained about price for accessories and that is customer choice, optional. You don’t have to spend all that. IMO. I shoot a rx5 v3 prime centergy and vxr28 sold the sr6 sold the diamonds, gave away the pse. So in my opinion and this is my opinion, Matthews is better than most, I’m out west so I do enjoy a lot of what they offer and do buy it. But what sold me on the Mathews is warranty my friend. So dollar for dollar. I will spend less if I ever have to replace parts after ten years. If I hade a Mathews from q5 years ago and a cam broke they will get me one.
I get what your saying, however most bow manufacturers, again I said most will take care of warranty issues. I know xpedition will, I know hoyt will as a person who traveled on a hunt with us they sent him a new bow, for a simple cam issue. Bowtech and prime will along with Athens. Problem is you said spend less. Well even after you do accessories, your still gonna pay more for a Matthew's. Whether integrated or not. I know someone personally who purchases a new v3x and was over 2500 after tax. You wouldn't spend near that on the xpedition.
Damn she's a beauty and now I want to get one and I will get me one. Thanks for your review👍 I'm now subscribed to you.
Thank you
It’s granite not graphite.
If you read through the comments and listened to the whole video I did correct myself
The wife and I love the Huntchef products! Especially the sauces!
We will hopefully be picking up our sauces at the Harrisburg Show. I see a podcast coming LOL
@@GondellaOutdoors definitely a stand that’s on the list to stop at!
i think you should drop the poundage on the v3x. you seem to struggle to draw it. shoot it at 50 lb and it should improve your form.
I think you should show us your form first. I have a bad shoulder. When I don't shoot for a few weeks yes my shoulder reminds me of certain things. All of my bows are set between 58 and 62 lbs. The hump in the Matthew's draw has been explained to me by Matthew's shooters. So had nothing to do with my form.
Let me boil it down for all with a few quotes straight from the "reviewer". "We run Xpedition Archery bows, love their bows, love the folks over there...." "Every year it's a big thing when Mathews releases a bow" "For those of you who know me personally, know that I am not a Mathews fan - never have been" "I love my X30" "I don't shoot a Mathews, I've never shot a Mathews" And now it get's good: "Keep in mind this is an opinionated comparison" "I wiped all of my bias aside to do this" (that's some magic right there) "This was a 100% unbiased, opiniated comparison" (this is the best one of all, LOL. Can you say oxymoron?) I say watch it anyway. It's good for laugh for anyone who is discerning. Also let me state that I shoot neither of these bows, have nothing against either, and am quite sure I would love them both.
You missed a few lines, but at least you watched the whole video. And we appreciate it!!!
@@GondellaOutdoors 😉Rock on. One thing you accomplished...I'm going to try to track down an Xpedition to try out for 2022.
@@kylehardin936 I am just glad you did what we hoped every single viewer would do. We will be doing a new video on the 2022 Xpedition Smoke in the very near future.
Dude you are never gonna take the Mathews junkies away from their brand. The good thing is that’s fine. Ya can’t win everyone over. I have seen Mathews guys spend more money on a bow than on a vehicle they drive over the years. Your draw cycle with both bows by physical body language was pretty informative.
I went over to Bowhunter planet and the speed on the x30 was 326 and the v3x was 332..so the Mathews is advertised at 340 and the expedition is advertised at 350 but the Mathews is actually faster who would have thought..lol..I guess that's why it's always good to crono them.. So Mathews wins the speed but Expedition wins in the weight but Mathews wins in price... decisions decisions...lol
When we film the new comparison with Backcountry Pa Podcast we will chrono both bows. Depending on what the poundage is set to, and what arrow your shooting will define speed. And yes Matthew's bare bow is less expensive but not once you integrate all your parts. Friend of mine just bought one fully integrated 2200 after tax.
My x30 shoots a 484 grain arrow at 286fps 28.5 DL bow was to lite tho I am not sure I’m a fan I shoot it well but have always had longer axle to axle bows I work in a shop and both bows are within feet of eachother for speed only thing I didn’t like was I wanted a 33” 80lb bow but they couldn’t make one last year so they sent me the 30 different color and everything so I could hunt but now I have a bow I wasn’t sold on
Would like to seen what bow was closest to manufacture's reported speed...
Everybody knows that when you shoot a bow that is labeled for Is 350 on Ibo that there's only one bow out there that ever come close to that and that was the full throttle PSE and it was so aggressive so jumping it's not even funny if you can 350' per 2nd out of that expedition don't you think everybody would be shooting it especially especially if it's so comfortable any bow that is a fast bow is gonna be aggressive it will never be smooth ask anybody not debating that's just truth it's been proven time in time out
I understand this William, I was stating the obvious, that IBO on paper from the manufacturers, the Xpedition is faster. The draw on the Xpedition is definitely smooth, however a tad louder on release because of the speed.
Everybody knows that expedition stretches their numbers out it's been tested and tested and tested because they say that they're both issued 3 53 60 it's A360 and they never hit them numbers
That's crazy because everybody changes that grip
Not sure exactly what you're talking about, possibly that I said I liked the Matthews grip on the new bow. Every bow I have ever sot had no rubber inlays, the Matthews does and is probably why I thought it was comfortable.
I got one question is expedition is petition winning tournaments lol I'm not against them at all but the Matthews does have a target like riser is Kaiser Lim configuration II don't know I have not shot it But the 33 does look hella big I think they said 39" from Cam to Cam And I only say that about competition because because it aint just people raving about the name they actually do pound
As a hunter, I don't care what bows are doing on a stage for target shooting. Target bows don't put meat on my table.
