    There is an Irish breed, Dexter's. They are smaller than the average bovine. I asked a farmer when he was complaining about the length of time it took cattle to get to market, why he didn't breed Dexter's and he said it was not profitable.

      Absolutely. It takes less time to raise a smaller bovine but you also get much less yield. This breed is really just created for hobby farmers, they don't have much benefit after that.
