Horses and parrots seem like they need the same kind of training. ie do things on their terms and never force an interaction. Although I will take a parrot bite over a horse bite! Certainly a parrot kick!
I think a parrot bite might actually scare me more!
@@longshotstables7070 I've been bitten by both horses and parrots. Horse bites usually just leave bruises. A cockatoo once bit almost clean *through* my hand. Can confirm, parrot bites are worse lol!

Make sure you bring your stirrups up over the horses neck, as it can give him the wrong signals or hit really hard into the side of him, other than that you have an incredible seat
yeah, if they are hanging down like that they could signal him to go faster and if you are a new rider that wouldn’t be good
Yeah but if she's gonna put her feet back on them there's really no point... Everytime I do no stirrups I have them like that
@@Vent.-.Account yes, okay but it’s not good as they could slam into the side of your horse, or you, or send the wrong signal, that’s why it’s better to cross them over, and if your gonna constantly be putting your feet in there’s no point in no stirrups if your gonna do 5 min and put your feet back in, and repeated that
@@Vent.-.Account If the horse bolts, starts bucking or rearing then the stirrups slamming against their sides isn't going to be helpful.
That’s why I used all plastic sturrips lol (they will still hit the side of the horses but it won’t hurt at all or give any signal for the to go faster)
Having had 2 small children both with their own ponies ( a boy 7 a girl 4) I wanted to help the little girl and the Mama so much. I am 70 now days and I miss those days. ❤❤❤
