if you do this you are basically creating the FeCl3 by electrolyze. You are practically making your iron tip smaller and smaller each time you`re doing this. Please note that the good quality iron tips have also a tin layer of protection. You will destroy it by this. DO NOT DO THIS!

YOU my friend are the most pathetic RUclipsr I've ever seen. it only takes a simple steel wool or copper wool to clean the oxidation on the tip , even in the worst case scenarios you can use a simple sand paper to rub off the oxidation. this is not a hack & the irony is that even after doing so much shit. your tip was still oxidized and did nothing. BTW you should definitely take some soldering classes from me. I'm gonna teach you for free.
