I'm a Los Angeles-based cinematographer with a passion for storytelling through the lens. Since I started working in the film and television industry in 2005, I've been proud to be a member of IATSE Local 80. I earned my MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory, where I developed a deep love for film history and classic production techniques.
I've had the opportunity to work as a consultant for Kodak, contributing to the prototyping of the new Kodak Super 8 camera, and I've also collaborated with Schneider Optics on various experimental filters. As a guest lecturer at the American Film Institute Conservatory, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of filmmakers. My work primarily focuses on narrative episodic, feature films, and commercials.
I am a big proponent of everything analog. I love shooting all formats of film from super 8 to 65mm.

Hills Like White Elephants

The best acting for hills like white elephants on youtube (that I've seen). This was shot for the Scene works for directors class at UNLV. I use a Sony z1u, on 30i, with a cheap lens adapter, that only worked intermittently through out the shoot. I intended on putting a 2:3 pull down filter on it but didn't end up with enough time.
Why does the color changed into black and white 🤔
Errccceeee😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
I remember Luke from high school lol. How old is this?
Haha super old.
I love how there's so many different styles in one video. Quality work!
🙏
Thank you professor and the videos. The young man was not ready for responsibility, marriage or a family. She just wanted to please, but she did want the abortion. Excellent way of doing the assignment.
Do the hills look like white éléphants. No they are dark actually...!!! The girl has to undergo Abortion. Then there''s suffering. Hills cant be elephants. She cant change reality. None can either.... that's the beauty of the story...
Hello. I am a person who works in a camera rental shop in Korea. If you don't mind, is it okay to use this video after revealing the source of the lens promotion video?
Absolutely. Thank you for asking.
MASTERBUILT CLASSICS - AKA, how to give your 1st AC nightmares
Love this test, these lenses are beautiful - thank you!
Very glad you enjoyed it.
I've watched so many different takes on this classic, and still think yours remain most faithful to the mood in the story. Excellent use of Autumn Leaves in the background too! (which version is this? I'd really love to have the soundtrack!)
You should turn comments off...
great
Thanks for posting this! Out of all the videos, I like this one the best for its remaining true to the story and intensity/rawness of acting. I'm going to show it to my American Lit class after we analyze the story.
This is well acted and very true to the spirit of the original story. i think Papa would have approved. Only one issue, is she wearing different shoes in the final scene to the first scene?
Very good guys
Would anyone like to see a remake of this? I originally made it in undergrad and I’m very proud of what we did at the time. But I would be interested to see if anyone else would be interest to see it redone.
I teach college English and show this to my class every time. The acting's excellent
Just noticed the stacey248 reply; I usually just click and show the film. But, yeah, I also teach college English and I also show this video every year. Not only is it a good rendition of the story, the seven minute length fits well into the contours of my class. I will show the video for perhaps the tenth time today. And the last; I hit retirement age this year.
@@tomdillon1434 Thank you so much. This is the nicest compliment I think I have ever received.
cool
It's haunting me
I can't stop thinking about how much I hate this video
the dudes hairline is worst then lebron and Peyton Manning
the bitch is straight ugly asf
This was so gay I left my wife for a man named Eric
Roberti you the best
this is the worst fucking video and acting I have ever seen ...just fucking terrible...also dont forget I can get people free madden mobile coins
I like the girls performance too, but overall the best adaptation of the Hemingway classic.
That was really well acted, moreso from the girl than the guy though.
+jac23443 I have to agree with you on that. The actor is good, yet the way he expresses this role doesn't resemble to the impression which the man in this story leaves. I can imagine this character as a (young) Clint Eastwood, but perhaps a little less confident, which gets more impatient as the story goes, rather then begging like in this feature. Still enjoyed watching this very much ! Shalom.
Bartender had on some Bling Bling

Thats exactly what I thought Jig looked like. GREAT music too
Svetlana D.Petkovic ... ''Hills Like White Elephants'' ...USA copy and paste this name up..;)

god! i want a drink..
this was really great. thank you, the dialogue between you both was natural. :)
good
it's pretty good. I think I enjoyed it more when I began to accept it as a liberal interpretation and not an exact reproduction of the text. It was interesting non the less.
Those are some great freakin actors! All-star stellar cast! Look at the intensity of their expressions. BRAVO! And nice tracking shot!
Thanks a lot!
Nicely done...an almost perfect imagery of the the story. One thing though, the bartender should be a woman...But, awesome...
