Love this video! What do you use to edit your videos?
Thanks so much Jeannie! I am currently using LumaFusion on my iPhone. I’m still very much a beginner to creating and editing videos, but it seems I learn something new each week. Thanks for watching!
@@jmbliving you do fantastic videos!
I have been practicing giving myself space between the event and my reaction to it. If my husband says or does something that upsets me, I don't go to him about it immediately anymore. I give myself the time to journal about what happened and why it upset me so much. Once I've gotten clarity over not just the situation but my feelings about it, I'm able to approach him in a way that is respectful and non-confrontational. I do the same thing with my kids, instead of immediately reacting, I give myself time to get clear on what I'll say. Journal first, react second :) I'm not perfect at it, sometimes I still get on to them right away but I'm much better at catching myself before I do. As with anything in life, the more you practice it, the easier it becomes. ♡
Thanks for sharing this Ellie! This is something I’ve been working on with my husband too. I love how the journaling often helps me see my part in disagreements that I might not otherwise see or understand. And how in taking ownership of that it allows me to feel better (more empowered, and less like the one who was “wronged”). I’m with you that it really helps in the discussions that follow. 🥰
I have really enjoyed many of your videos that you putting out. My life is already slow. It’s been slow now for a good seven years since I got sick. But now that I’m feeling better I’m trying to embrace slow living in a different way. I want my time to be productive, but yet slow, and I want to eliminate certain things that I do in my day that is nonproductive. Listening to people as much as I have to learn how to embrace a truly productive, slow living life. I don’t want my time to be unproductive as far as the things that are important to me to do. I will always be limited to what I can do, but I can certainly do more to make my life productive positive way. So you have given me some things to think about. So I still learn how to eliminate time wasters. And to use the time I haveto be doing the things I wanna do and yet do things that I need to do to have a healthier life. So I just wanted to share that with you thank you for sharing your videos with everybody.
Thank you so much for sharing with me Jenny❤️ My heart goes out to you with your struggles on your healing journey. It is interesting that you mention productivity here - one of the intentions I wrote in my journal for this season is finding the balance between productivity and this slower lifestyle I am enjoying. It seems to be a gentle balance. I find the need to continually remind myself of what is truly important to me. For way too many years I got in a habit of doing too much work. What finally slowed me down in part was because of the toll it took on my health. I feel blessed to be as healthy as I am, but this too is something I put much time and energy on in this chapter of my life. I’m so glad you are here and appreciate you letting me know you have been enjoying my videos. It’s hearing from people like yourself that makes this so rewarding. ❤️
Your video popped up on my homepage. Saw that you’re almost at 1000 subscribers and decided to subscribe. Trying to get some good ideas for my channel for middle aged people. Thanks.
Thanks for subscribing! Hope you find some good ideas here. Look forward to checking out your channel as well. 💕

@@richardsoderkvist6383 how wonderful to have such a sweet friend! So happy you found the video encouraging. Sounds like you have the perfect focuses to have some of your best years ahead!
I love the idea of ranking what's on your to-do list! Thankfully, I am in love with everything I'm currently working on right now and I do believe it comes from practicing the art of letting go every autumn. Eventually, you get so good at letting go of what no longer resonates, that you end up naturally drawn to the things that light you up. ♡
Yes! What a perfect way to put it! 💕
My biggest win was I left work on time today 😊
That is a huge win! Way to go Nancy! ❤️
I’m definitely going to start stomping out my anger. I feel like that would just make me laugh and eliminate the emotion 🤣🤣 Thank you so much for this tip !!!
@@shelece-marlett9871 so glad it resonated with you. Let me know if it works! 🥰
A slow, peaceful, quiet life is what I am creating for myself.
Beautifully described ❤️ I’m sure it won’t disappoint! ❤️

Where I live in my small Michigan town it forces me to live slow. Shopping here is like going to Oleson's Mercantile on Little House( Amazon is my best friend ) and people drive so slow they go in reverse.🤣 I have lived here my whole life and always wanted to leave but it was a great place to raise my children. Now that I'm 52, I am rather enjoying this town and what nature has to offer minus crazy amounts of snow. Thanks for the video!
Love the comparison to Olesons! It’s funny how when we grow older we can appreciate some of the benefits of a small town. Michigan is beautiful! One of my favorite states.
Thanks for sharing❤️
Thanks for watching!
Another beautiful video, Julie! I've been a bit silent lately because I've been re-branding but I'm so happy to be back watching your videos again. I promise I'll be more active in the group again now that the hard part of rebranding is over. 😂 Sending you hugs and so much love! ~ Ellie
Thanks so much Ellie! It is a delight to see you here today. Rebranding is such a huge undertaking. I'm excited to see what you have created!
This is me 100%. You are not alone. New subscriber..love your content❤
Hi Krystal! So glad you found me and that this topic resonated with you! Appreciate your kind words as well.💗 Hopefully listening to this you are on the other side of a burnout period or you find the suggestions helpful in making this the last one. Have a delightful day!
Is there a link here for the bag?
Sorry Robin! I forgot to include this. Added it now. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention.
This video came at the perfect time. I used to journal all the time.. it's been years since I last journaled but I think this was God's way of reminding me of how I can better manage my emotions through journaling 😅❤
So happy you found this then. ❤️ It never ceases to amaze me how helpful it is and how many insights I realize when compared to just trying to think things through. Hope journaling again provides you much of the same. 💕
Some really good tips, thank you
Thanks so much! Glad you found them helpful. 💕
I always think they sound cold and tired.
Punching felt relieving to me a lot
That vegetable soup looked seriously delicious 😊
Thanks! Vegetable soup is a favorite of mine. 😋
Another awesome video Julie. ❤. I know a lot of planning and effort go into these, as I am a content creator as well on my RUclips channel. Mainly planning, and now getting into highly sensitive person trait as well. I appreciate the research, planning, creativity, and time you put into each of your videos. 🙏🏽 It shows. ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement Jimi! It means so much and is so incredibly helpful at this early stage of content creation. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and drop a comment.
@@jmblivingof course! I love your vibe ❤
I absolutely LOVE your videos, Julie. ❤ you and I are a lot alike. 😊
I’m totally with you on decluttering and spiffing up a space! If I clean up my kitchen pantry, I find myself opening the door and looking in with admiration every time I pass by! 😂 something even as small as cleaning my fireplace mantle and adding a few new plants, has made my entire entire month! I love to sitting and staring at it now, ha ha ha ha
(pardon all the typos. Refresh and it will be fixed! 🤦🏻♀️)
New plants! Yes, please! They bring me so much joy as well.
Lovely, I’m going on a Bat Walk tonight in a forest. Some wildlife rangers have organised it. Within a week it has become so Autumnal
Oh how cool! Hope you see lots of bats, but that they stay in the air. 😊
Very nice video
Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for this Julie. I am going to try this. I drink mainly almond milk and try to buy milk with the least ingredients.
Well this one only has 2 ingredients, so you’ll be good to go on that front. I do find that it is a bit thinner so I primarily use it for cooking, as I like something a little thicker for drinks. Let me know how it goes. 💜
As a weight loss coach, I agree with spending time in the kitchen on purpose. To savor the process, to look at the color of the meal, to smell it, to really sit and taste it. To see how it feels in the mouth. Starting with feeling the feeling of hunger in the body, to the anticipation of the way it will taste. Sitting down at the table to enjoy it. Having a date with your body. You develop a better relationship with food. It becomes not only energy for the body, but an experience to savor.
This all makes so much sense. I know it’s helped me so much. Wish I developed these habits years ago. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this too. This definitely needs to become more common knowledge. 💜
Living with nature is very happy
@@virakeating-999 so agree! Feels like one of the quickest ways to peace, calm and joy. ❤️

@@creativelylisamarie aw, thank you!🙏 🥰🩷
Awesome video - my DIY - I make my own creamer to get away from the chemical ones in the market - I use grassfed or organic half/half, organic coconut sugar, vanilla then I spice up with cinnamon or pumpkin spice. Measure ingredients to your taste. I use a mini frother to blend. Enjoy !
Sounds lovely! Thanks for sharing Sharon!
Yes, I would love to see a video showing us how to make almond milk, yogurt, and sour cream!
You got it! That will be a fun one to share. All of these are actually so much easier to make than I ever would have expected.
Thank you for all the wonderful tips!! I love them all - but mainly the strawberries!!
@@tonyatate4535 too funny, right?
I am nearly 76. I created myself a softer form of life without even realising it. I can tell you that I have no stress, no anxiety or anger, just peace in my heart.
That is so wonderful! So many people struggle with this. “Just peace in my heart” doesn’t get much better than this. ❤️
I really needed to hear this today! Love your channel:)
Oh my goodness, Debbie! It’s funny, but you have no idea how much I needed to hear your thoughts here today as well! Thank you for being here! 🙏🥰
Or listening to Dr. Dre instead of seeing a medical doctor.

Thank you so much for listening to it Carla!
Living not rushing
Absolutely! Wish it hadn’t taken me years to figure it out. 🙂
I love this. I have been doing the same 2 affirmations in the shower every morning since I was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer 18 years ago. I do then add a third different affirmation weekly in my journal. I repeat each 3 times, first out loud then in a whisper then silently.
@@deniseg5424 thank you for sharing this Denise! Sounds like this has been working well for you. ❤️
thank you!
@@suzannesperl4917 hi Suzanne! How are you?

@@youtubevideo-seo-expart thank you!
Very nice video, but your channel is not monetized. A channel monetization requires 1000 subscribers and 4000 minutes of watch time, which is not available in your channel. If you want, I can monetize your channel.
Beautiful ❤️ Thank you
It definitely stems from trauma and is in and of itself an unhealed trauma symptom. It is the flight response of the nervous system, and it's arguably the most societally praised of the four trauma nervous responses, so that external validation adds to it as well as the programming you mentioned. I have found a lot of relief from magic 🍄 trips
I would add that a lot of us bounce back and forth from the flight and freeze response but always try to stay in flight because freeze response is the opposite of societally praised.
@@alisiademi These are really great points Alisia! I really appreciate you sharing and adding to the conversation on this. Trauma response may not be the first thing one would think of, but I can definitely see this being a root cause.
I find it very hard to focus on goid because of pain.
I am the exact opposite..... Because of my daily pain, I LOOK for the small wonders... The little bird. A rain drop upon my face. My granddaughters smile.... Every day brings beautiful wonders ❤️
@@nbmwood I am so glad you shared your experience here. I know you are not alone in finding this helpful and it means so much more to hear this from someone else experiencing pain in their life. For both of you, I hope that your pain may subside and be short-lived. ❤️
Very nice
Thank you so much for watching!
Wow Very Nice Video

I am so exhausted all the time and feel so defeated by how little I get done. Your suggestion to reduce the number of things and then reduce it more sounds like a good idea but then it gets me thinking that maybe I will get too little done and never achieve my goals.
Senta, I'm sure the lack of energy for what you want to accomplish can be so discouraging. Hopefully you are able to get the support you need to be able to optimize your health and energy. I've been thinking a bit about your concern about getting too little done and not achieving your goals. I think with feeling exhausted, it becomes even more important to get very clear on what is truly most important to you so that you don't deplete yourself by trying to accomplish too much. At the end of the day there are only so many hours in the day and one can only be so efficient. Not to mention, you need to rest to restore to find the creativity and energy to be able to achieve those goals. Perhaps you shouldn't look at it like having to give up on any of your dreams, rather that you are prioritizing so that you can focus your time and energy in the most effective way. Not to mention, I've been amazed at the extra creativity one can find to do things in a much shorter time frame, when you are well rested and well nurtured. ❤
