Im in my 40s, been married almost 22 years, my wife doesnt know how bad it is but i have heart problems. Every nite when we lay down to bed this song just runs through my head on loop. I told her last week that nothing is certain and her life should continue if anything happened to me... But, god as my witness, i dont care if its 50 years.... I will wait for her on the front porch because i want her hand in mine when i meet god. I love her so much.
Tell her. If the roles were reversed would you want her to keep it to herself? We all need somebody to share with, be it our good times or our bad, for the latter there's solace and healing in having someone to share our pain with, particularly someone who cares deeply. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, my friend and I wish nothing but good things for you.
You should tell her, I think it would help you both. The day that my dad passed away, my brother was going to take him to the doctor for me but I felt like I needed to go as well. I was his caregiver. I am so glad that I was there. Be there for each other and don't leave her feeling like she didn't get some type of closure with it. God willing you will be around for each other for a long time.
