Cena do filme 'Quase Famosos' (legendada).
Took me years to really understand what that line means.
This ranks among the greatest scenes in movie history. It is so raw, honest, and real.
The band wanted a cheerleading publicist, not a serious, critical writer. They got the later.
"Me too.." 💔
ตอนนั้นเราเริ่มเขียนแล้วแต่เราเขียนมาแต่เด็กแล้วมั้งที่พอจำได้เพราะอ่านเยอะจึงพอเขียน
They all look the same
I did this scene for an acting class once. I love Philip Seymour Hoffman.
people need to read lester’s book. died at 33 😭
This makes me miss three things: Rotary phones, land lines, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
To steal an NBA term, Philip Seymour Hoffman in Almost Famous has a PER that's just off the charts. Probably one of of my all-time top 10 performances by anyone with less than 15 min of screentime.
Much love to Gladiator, but people tend to not get why this won over Gladiator. Show them this scene and many others and they'll see why this film won the Oscar for best original screenplay. They make it real for uncool people like us. People who are spoonfed fame and fortune will never know how long and hard it is to make it easier for people who are uncool. We each belong in a medium where those who has made it and those who didn't tend to coexist, and those who didn't tend to be if not smarter but a bit wiser. And the only thing we can do is to keep going as if we are those people who made it, because it isn't about who has made it and who hasn't. It's about who has enough life and wisdom to not care. We can only do whatever we can to feel like we're our own Gods in a slave-ridden world, who, unfortunately, does not care. So, we shouldn't, either.
It's a Sunday. Sun is shining and I'm inside coding. This scene came to mind.
Cool scene.
After all hes the master, William's right going to him for advice
"Women will always be a problem for guys like us. Most of the great art in the world is about that very problem." Guys, please give examples, I wanna know. All I can think of right now is The Little Mermaid. Thanks.
The great gatsby and crazy, stupid, love kinda fit the criteria
"War is over. They won."
What an incredible scene from a perfect film. Watching this film never ever gets old.
Most people are uncool and that's ok.
At home watching this clip. Yep.
He was one of the greats and so missed. On the 20th anniversary, a handful of the actors and Cameron did a live stream, they talked about Phil, and in one scene, he allegedly yelled out something like, “no, CUT, CUT CUT” to redo it, he wasn’t happy with something, and Cameron said he was thinking “aren’t I the director of this movie?” LOL 😂 He was on screen for 9 minutes, but had such an impact. 🫶👏
His best scene IMO... Very vulnerable and honest here... Beautiful shot.
Awww that poor desperate middle aged man was never cool so he wants to tell the teen that actually does have rockstar friends and a groupie girl that likes him he isn't cool either.
Uncool of the world unite!
RIP Phil Hoffman, one of the greats
Lester Bangs was always there to gently catch William as he fell back to earth.
One of my favourite films ever- RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman
Raise your hand if you can relate to this. I'll start ✋
Possibly the best line written for the screen . . .
It is Friday night and I am home on Cinco de Mayo bc I'm uncool. Uncool unite.
AMO esse filme de paixao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He probably deserved a nomination for this role.
HE WAS A AMAZING ACTOR PHILLIP MAY HE CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE
"Be honest and unmerciful." Beautiful especially when we live in a world where friends often just want to be affirmed in every thought and action instead of telling the truth.
“I’m always home, I’m uncool!” One of my favorite lines of all time.
A film critic made the best comment on this gem of movie "it blew away the myth, without destroying the magic!" I love this film.
I am also always home because I super uncool
This is just one of the most beautiful scenes
Iam always home am uncool
Goated
Amazing film and a great scene, both are dying breed, what we get today is pure vomit in comparison with tiny exceptions.
“Im glad you were home” Watched this movie 20 times never noticed the tear drop.
'The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.'
The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.
muito foda
Just here to comment how excellent this film is and how I hope the future citizens of Earth appreciate it for all of the beautiful and subtle-tragedy moments it captures.
"I'm always home...I'm uncool"...love that line!
Pseudo intellectual espousing basic nonsense.
Watching this scene by itself really does make me realize what an amazing actor PSH was.
Essa cena me pega
This line is so true and makes me emotional
