Circuitdelic Laboratory is an experimental multimedia project focusing on music, art, science, the visualization of sound, and the lines between natural and unnatural. Art works include sculptures, videos, photography, projections, and resin. Music is released under Circuitdelic Sound System. Science exploration has focused on Cymatics, waveforms, and the conversation of light to audio lastly the use of DC motors in music performance is utilized along with circuit bending of various toys. Traditional instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboard, synthesizer, digital effects, and mixing board are used for live and post production. Collaboration with a friend who curated some amazing celestial imagery. They were the inspiration for the music. The music is 100% made from a laser pointer directed at a solar cell, wired to audio cables to make sound. A DC motor with a wheel interrupts the light making even more interesting sounds. #outsidermusic #soundart #art #experimentalmusic #frequency #consciousness #cymatics #kineticart
Experimenting with Sounds from Laser

I use a military grade laser pointer directed at a Solar cell wired to audio cables. The sound is the run through various digital effects. This is a loop I made. Very automated, mechanical sounding. So I found a video, edited it, and applied filters. Enjoy!

The images are photographs of things that caught my eye on 4th and 5th streets downtown Cincinnati, where I live. I then edited them together applying various effects and filters. Then added my music from the Circuitdelic Sound System

Circuitdelic Sound System: Lab Catalog 32424.1 “Brain on Circuitdelics” The human body is 60% water. This close up video captures water affected by music in a Petri dish over a 15” speaker. An RGB light ring overhead provides color changes. The music is a loop of microbrute synth, keyboard bass, Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine, synthesizer, and vintage delay effects. I reposted this changing the musi...

Good atmosphere, the nature of the synthetizer is very good for awakening. Another excellent job
Thank you! It’s not a synthesizer. It’s a laser light converted to audio being diffused by an object spinning on a dc motor then sent to a synthesizer effect.
Milky Way and Andromeda collision!! 🌌 Micro and macro universe!!🔭🔬 ✨ This represents two thoughts coming together!! Like you’re creating something special n your mind!! 🧠 🍄🧩🧬👩🔬🧲🧶🐈⬛🐾💗 Two souls getting it on, too!!😇😇 It would definitely represent world peace!!👼🌍

The visual effects are great. Solid work.
Appreciate the positive feedback. Have a wonderful day!
@@CircuitdelicLaboratory You too :]
incredibly cool
I really appreciate that. Feel free to check out the Live in the Lab and other Circuitdelic Sound System items in those playlists.
who is that guy at the end? I've heard him before sampled on other things. (over the edge/negativland -time zones exchange project)

How are you doing this? how are you generating the lasers? im dying to know
Hi. Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. Step1: I purchased a high quality laser pointer from amazon. Do a search for FOBSERD Long Range. Step 2: I then got a balloon large enough to stretch over a ring. I bought a plastic and rubber crochet ring from a hobby store (not the wooden ones!) and stretched a balloon over it. Step 3: I got a small mirror and glued it to the center the balloon. I also bought tiny mirrors from Amazon. 300 for $9. Step 4: I am musician so I have access to a small amplified with an 8" speaker. I placed the crochet ring against the speaker. Step 5: I pointed the laser at the mirror in such a way the reflection is displayed on the wall as you see. Step 6: I have a Microbrute Synthesizer and have been experimenting with the sounds to make those. The laser pointer can do two outputs at once and also has filters to multiple them so you can really go crazy with those and add more mirrors. Thanks!!! JP
The playing at the last minuet of the video was so good! I enjoyed listening to you play very much, would love an update on where you are now with your practice.
Thanks very much. Sadly this is really just a historical record now. I could not afford to transport the sitar back to the US at that time. I was a poor college student. I never picked it up again after leaving India. It was fun to learn.
