I live in the country side I’m 62 with mental health issues !i really enjoy watching the hunt seeing the dogs work ,and the horses, I always slow down for horses, the riders are really polite to me ,especially when they see me flying my owls, city people just don’t understand the rural life.

this is a true sportsman, Chris Ryan is everything the sport is about, he loves charlie just as much as the dogs, look at how well the kennels are kept and the condition the dogs are in, they look splendid! for every protester out there, try and come back on to earth, i didnt see the fox suffer there, and yes i am a hunting man, and i am proud to be, even if charlie is caught it is a swift end, we are all hunters at the end of the day, but what all off you antis dont understand is that the fox has no natural predator left, numbers need to be controlled, whether its with the dogs, or the gun, it has to be done. A foxes life is as much respected as the next animals life, us real hunting men and women respect and love the fox, but we also love the songbirds, chickens and lambs that need our help.

The best piece of film on hunting I've seen in a long time.. It really caught the special atmosphere there is in fieldsports.. Time to go to Ireland again, to hear the full cry and the hunting horn, for being Dutchmen I've never had the ability to watch a real fox hunt here.. Thanks for posting, I enjoyed it very much!

michelle,,i think you need to educate yourself more and stop being a typical extremist..man has survived,thrived and evolved into what we are today because we are hunters by nature,like it or not,,even if people like you have very much lost touch with reality! you probably turn on your nature programs in the evenings and marvel at the beauty of the beasts of the african plains but next time pay attention to how it is they survive and feed their young ..end of the day ,people are hunters

nature is much more cruel than anything! its all about living and dieing,the strong taking advantage of the weak . Do you think the naieve songbirds to which your profile pic. cat regularely kills FOR FUN have any choice in in being hunted, injured or killed?? I can think of a hell of a lot worse deaths that regularely occur in nature than 50 hounds,3 times the foxes size and strength quickly closing in on this PREDATOR and destroying him just as he does to any vulnerable prey species he find

At the end of the day, b4 you make judgements @michelle y dont you try it just once to understand it a bit better?! ive been huntin 12 years and weve only caught 2 foxes in that time, d fox knows its own land whereas d dogs are being moved to different places every week so the fox knows were to go to lose the hounds!! and also it is not biased this is what actually happens in hunts, it showed the dogs chasing the fox and it said that sometimes the fox gets caught but it wasnt caught this time!!

I watched this with an open mind & I'm sorry but I can't help but notice that some dogs had suffered injury during the hunt & whether you want to admit it or not a fox may be smart and well able to dodge the dogs, but it was terrified at the same time. I think hunting of this nature is very much behind the times and needs to be banned. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with a family who kill for food, or have no choice but to kill to survive. But killing for sport, no just can't agree

You don't have to watch it if you don't want to, hunting is a grand way to spend the day! They hardly ever even find a fox, sure it's all about having the craic jumping over massive drains and getting covered in muck!
