DUNE CINEMATIC RECREATION IN BLENDER
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.14 дней назад
I'm thrilled to finally share this environment with you all! When I first watched the Dune movie, I was inspired to create something similar in Blender, but my skills at the time weren’t quite up to the task. However, after practicing for a couple of years, I finally decided to take on the challenge. My goal was to recreate the iconic shot of Arrakeen City from the Dune movie and get as close a...

Happy to share my new project Inspired by my favourite show The Mandalorian. This is the first project I tried with the new version of blender. I am very happy to see the changes specially the new Principle BSDF. Rendered this scene using a RTX 3060ti with 1000 samples. It took around 4-5 mins per frame. I did this just for practice and experiment. Tried out Aces in blender. Had to deal with some issues. Wanted to a better job with adding details but my system was running out of Vram:) Rendered with RTX 3060ti. It took 8-9mins per frame. Imperial Base in Blender

This is a personal experimental project with blender. My goal was to do a large-scale scene without blender crashing which kind of ended up being Star Wars inspired scene also got some idea from Steven Cormann's Artstation. The background and the small waterfalls were projected with Nuke everything else is CG. My Artstation Link: www.artstation.com/artwork/39q1YB Instagram: wired_...

    This was awesome, the final shot together with the music was a perfect atmospheric moment! 🔥🔥🔥 How long did it take you to create the scene in Blender from start to finish?

    • @abrarahmedcgi
      @abrarahmedcgi 2 дня назад

      I did this last month. I worked for 1-2 hours everyday, 3-5 days a week.

      @@abrarahmedcgi awesome! I have a day job so that's why I was asking if one can afford a small bit of time every day, if it is possible to achieve something meaningful in Blender, at least just for the fun of it.

    can you detail the geometry node setup for the motion blur of the wings?

    • @abrarahmedcgi
      @abrarahmedcgi 2 дня назад

      maybe I'll do a separate video to explain this. you can do this with a sine wave clamp the output with map range and plug it to the rotation.

    • @Benn25
      @Benn25 2 дня назад

      @abrarahmedcgi I did a few playing around yesterday about that. I did exactly as you said. in geometry nodes, I did a first flapping oscillation with sine and frame as input. then on the long axis of the blade, a secondary oscillation to mimick insects wings angle during flapping movement. you have to find the right pi multiple to keep this oscillation in phase, but it after a little tweaking it worked properly. you can add just a little bit of 1D nose to put a small about of variation in those two oscillations, that helps with realism. also, as it is a geometry nice driven displacement, don't forget to check the deformation box in the motion blur section, or it won't blur. the result is very convincing ❤️ thank you for this opportunity, it was a lot of fun. ☺️
